According to an article published on Monday, April 20, Cooper’s husband, Kaplan, has been a nightmare at the couple’s Unwell Network. The duo launched the business venture in 2023 as a network of podcasts anchored by Cooper’s hit “Call Her Daddy” show.
The company has since grown from podcasts to TV production, live events, and has its own creative agency. Despite these growths, the Unwell Network has reportedly seen a dramatic turnover in staff over the past two years, per Bloomberg.
The blame allegedly fell on Kaplan, who is said to run the network’s day-to-day operations and “has earned a reputation for frequently yelling at staff members.” The report claimed his explosive outbursts have resulted in staff threatening to leave if Kaplan “doesn’t keep his distance.”

Besides crew members threatening to quit the projects they were working on over Kaplan’s nagging, his actions allegedly caused tension during the recently launched “Unwell Winter Games.” Behind the scenes of the YouTube series, Cooper’s husband reportedly:
“Berated the staff on set and threatened to prevent them from ever working in Hollywood again if they messed up.”
His actions allegedly resulted “in a prominent, long-experienced crew member breaking down in tears.” The allegations of Kaplan’s toxic workplace behavior came days after his wife made headlines for getting the “mean girl” tag from LaPaglia.

LaPaglia joined the brewing feud between Cooper and Earle by dubbing the former a “mean girl.” The Blast covered the story, reporting that LaPaglia argued Copper was a mean person based on what she had heard about her.
LaPaglia alleged that she once witnessed Cooper’s outburst towards Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy. During the alleged call, Cooper established that all she cared about was money and not the people she worked with, leaving LaPaglia disappointed.
Cooper fired back on her Instagram Stories, arguing that she had never met LaPaglia before and only ever interacted with her through social media. She also shared screenshots of their past conversations, which seemingly proved they had been on good terms.

Before LaPaglia joined the drama brewing between Cooper and Earle, the latter had caught fans’ attention by reposting shady posts about the podcaster. The Blast shared that Cooper finally had enough of Earle’s not-so-subtle insults and bluntly called her out in a TikTok post.
The April 13 post saw Cooper slamming Earle’s “passive-aggressive reposts” and urging the other woman to stop hiding behind others. Cooper implored Earle to say what was on her mind, stressing that no NDA or legal restrictions were holding her back.
Cooper implied that Earle would rather hide behind reposts than confront her directly because she was generating fake beef for clout. “Okay, on it!” came Earle’s response; however, she has not dropped any posts about what happened between her and Cooper.
