Joe Rogan is catching heat online after making a surprise appearance at the White House alongside Donald Trump, and critics are pointing to his own recent comments as the reason why. The podcaster joined Trump in the Oval Office over the weekend as the president signed a new executive order aimed at accelerating research into psychedelic drugs used to treat mental health conditions like anxiety, depression, and PTSD, particularly for veterans.

During the event, Rogan shared that his involvement stemmed from conversations on his podcast, where he first learned about the potential benefits of certain treatments. “I sent him that information. The text message that came back, ‘Sounds great. Do you want FDA approval? Let’s do it.’ Literally that quick,” Rogan said.

The order also directs the Food and Drug Administration to fast-track its review process for new therapies already in advanced clinical trials. Trump specifically highlighted ibogaine, a psychedelic treatment used internationally for PTSD, and suggested expanding access under the Right to Try Act.

“Today’s order will ensure that people suffering from debilitating symptoms might finally have a chance to reclaim their lives and lead a happier life,” Trump said.

Joe Rogan Blasted As ‘Phony’ After White House Appearance

Despite the mental health focus of the initiative, Rogan’s presence at the White House didn’t sit well with many online, especially given his recent criticism of Trump and the MAGA movement. “Joe Rogan at the White House right now standing behind Trump at the Oval Office….once a bootlicker always a bootlicker!” one viral post read.

Another user pointed out the apparent contradiction, writing, “Joe Rogan hanging out with the people he called a ‘bunch of f-cking dorks,’ and ‘really weird, uninteresting, unintelligent people.’”

Others were even more blunt in their criticism. “I don’t want to see any more clips of Joe Rogan b-tching about Trump, this phony a-s is still 100 percent in Trump’s crooked corner. What a phony POS,” one post read. “Say what you want about Rogan, but you gotta admit it’s pretty impressive to be a spineless little b-tch who stands for nothing,” another user added.

Just weeks ago on “The Joe Rogan Experience,” Rogan didn’t hold back while speaking with comedian and political commentator Dave Smith. He slammed the slogan itself, saying the “Make America Great Again” phrase “sucks,” adding, “America is great. Make America greater? I’m down.”

Rogan went even further, criticizing the broader movement in blunt terms. “A lot of them are dorks, a lot of them are really weird, uninteresting, unintelligent people,” he said, adding that supporters are often lumped together with “real, genuine patriots.”

“They’re all lumped into this one group, and you’ve got to accept the dorks, too? F-ck that,” Rogan added, also calling out what he described as “a bunch of f-cking dip sh-ts that are running around spouting out opinions.”

He also referenced concerns about “Christian nationalists” tying global conflicts to biblical “end times,” citing reports tied to the Iran war.

Trump And Rogan’s UFC Reunion Raises Eyebrows

The backlash also comes on the heels of another moment that had fans talking: Donald Trump and Joe Rogan appearing more than friendly during a recent UFC event.

At UFC 327 in Miami, Trump arrived at the Kaseya Center alongside Dana White and made a direct stop to greet Rogan cageside. The two shared a firm handshake that lingered for several seconds and appeared completely at ease. Trump also exchanged greetings with commentator Daniel Cormier before circling back to Rogan, placing a hand on his shoulder and patting his arm

Things took another turn after Joe Rogan addressed a viral social media post shared by Donald Trump, adding even more fuel to the online conversation. The moment came shortly after the two were seen together at UFC 327 in Miami.

The post in question featured an AI-generated image that many believed depicted Trump in a Jesus-like role. It spread rapidly across social media, drawing mixed reactions, with some users calling it bizarre, while others openly criticized it.

Although the post was later deleted, it had already gained significant traction, and Rogan’s decision to speak on it only amplified the attention surrounding both figures.
