Candace Owens seems unbothered by Donald Trump‘s slamming post!
The political commentator appeared concerned about the president adding a special character to her name rather than the brutal name-calling. The POTUS responded to her remarks about betraying the trust of the American people and failing to fulfill his campaign promises.
Candace Owens was one of the loudest voices who spoke in support of Donald Trump during his first tenure in office and also campaigned for his 2024 presidential bid.
Candace Owens’ Witty Response To President Donald Trump’s Scathing Post
The president’s post on his Truth Social platform was made as a response to a CNN poll which compared his approval rating among Republicans to conservative critics like Tucker Carlson and Megyn Kelly. In his words: “Tucker is a low-IQ person – Always easy to beat, and highly overrated!!! So are Megyn Kelly, ‘Candace’ (Really Dumb and mentally ill!), and Bankrupt Alex Jones, who is completely ‘fried.’”
He continued in the April 17 post that, despite the people he identified above, there are still very good MAGA supporters who are smart. Trump then toyed with the idea of making a good, bad, and average list, which he claimed would be fascinating for him.
However, Owens chose to respond to the post by deflecting from every iota of name-calling, rather than picking a bone with the format of the post and how her name was written. “Why is my name in quotation marks, though?” Owens asked as she quoted an X post about Trump’s statement.
The Conservative Commentator Critiqued The ‘Disloyal’ Nature Of The POTUS

Earlier in the month, Owens clashed with Trump online when she replied to him in a YouTube video on April 10 that he no longer commanded MAGA, and the Epstein controversy had overshadowed his legacy. As stated by US Weekly, the media personality informed the politician that he could also lose support for being a fundamentally disloyal person.
“People will not fight beside, behind, or for someone who is fundamentally disloyal. If disloyalty and deceit are in your nature, then I highly suggest you combine it with silence,” the podcaster continued. Owens further slammed Trump for being politically greedy and constantly choosing money over respect by selling his soul for another “gilded ballroom.”
Owen’s scathing comments were a direct response to Trump basically condemning her, Jones, Tucker, Kelly, and Carlson for speaking up against U.S. attacks on Iran in recent times. He urged people to look at the media personalities and their records, which, according to him, do not show competence or responsibility.
Candace Owens Defended Her Peers From Donald Trump’s Vitriol

The YouTuber also took the time to clear her fellow critics’ names, specifically Carlson and Kelly, despite their documented histories of differences in the past. Owens stressed that Trump or anyone from his camp should ditch the ” low IQ line when describing Carlson, herself, and Kelly.
She noted that they are all successful, and Carlson might even wield more power than Trump, which he most likely knows and secretly resents him for that. Owens reminded Trump to be careful about his utterances against blue-collar workers who did not get to finish college, just like Carlson.
The businessman had claimed in his post that Owens and her peers had fallen off from the pinnacle of their careers and would resort to saying anything for free, cheap publicity. He added that while they have “Third Rate Podcasts,” they have remained largely unpopular because of their anti-MAGA views.
The Media Personality Urged The U.S. Troops To Take A Stand Against Invading Iran

Owens was one of the prominent media figures to applaud the resignation of Joe Kent, the National Counterterrorism Center Director, in March via social media. As shared by The Blast, he announced his intention to leave the position over the Iran war, stating that he could not in good faith encourage such a baseless war, which does not benefit the country.
He noted that while he was one of Trump’s strongest supporters, he would not participate in sending thousands of troops on a dangerous and unnecessary mission. Owens reposted Kent’s statement and tagged him a hero and patriot for putting America’s interest first, while tagging Trump shameful.
She encouraged American military troops to emulate Kent’s decision and stand down. The content creator continued that it makes no sense for the military men to be led by Trump into their death and made to lose their lives for Israel’s honor. Owens had criticized Trump’s decision countless times, urging Congress and the military to consider invoking the 25th Amendment to remove him from office.
Candace Owens Is Embarrassed By President Donald Trump’s Disappointing Run

The media personality declared in 2025 that she thinks of her efforts at getting Trump in the Oval Office in 2024, and all she feels is deep embarrassment. The Hill reported that the conservative commentator tagged him a chronic disappointment who literally failed on every promise he made during his campaign.
Owens broke her silence in June 2025 when Trump sent over B-2 bombers from the United States to strike three of Iran’s nuclear facilities, helping Israel’s effort to topple the country’s weapon development. The podcaster insisted there were no imminent threats to the United States from that region, and it was unfortunate to know that Israel, through Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, was dictating the United States’ foreign policy.
Will Donald Trump fire back at Candace Owens?
