Candace Owens has broken her silence on the shocking resignation of a loyal Donald Trump supporter.

Joe Kent, the National Counterterrorism Center Director, announced his resignation from his post with an official letter on social media.

Candace Owens used the opportunity to applaud Joe Kent while slamming President Donald Trump for the Iran war. Her words join the outcry of other female celebrities against the violence.

On Tuesday, March 17, many like Owens received the shocking update of Kent’s resignation on X. He dropped an official letter announcing his departure over the Iran war, arguing that he could not “in good conscience support the ongoing war” that did not benefit the country.

“Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation, and it is clear that we started this war due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby,” Kent wrote. He stressed that he had been a staunch Trump supporter for years, but he could not watch his idol be deceived into committing atrocities.

“I cannot support sending the next generation off to fight and die in a war that serves no benefit to the American people nor justifies the cost of American lives,” Kent added. Owens reposted his letter alongside her support, dubbing him “an American hero, patriot, and veteran.”

Owens called out Trump, labeling him “a shameful President,” and urged the American troops to take a page out of Kent’s book. “Look into conscientious objection to Bibi’s Red Heifer War. Goyim stand down,” she concluded.

While Owens could put her thoughts in writing, English broadcaster Piers Morgan was stunned speechless by Kent’s resignation. He reposted his resignation letter alongside the caption, “Wow…” Political commentator and Trump critic Tim Miller took a different stance than his usual commentary.

Miller noted that he had never been a fan of Kent and frequently criticized him on his channel; however, his resignation changed his tune. “Can’t speak to all of his motivations here, but I gotta say it’s pretty refreshing to see that someone in the administration has a red line on something,” he wrote.

Not everyone was a fan of Kent’s resignation, with some critics labeling him a “traitor” and bashing him for betraying Trump’s trust. U.S. representative for Nebraska, Don Bacon, called Kent out in a heated post on X.

“Good riddance,” Bacon began, arguing that Iran has always been a threat to Americans, unlike Kent’s claims. He added that he could not stand anti-semitism and did not want it in his government. The United States House of Representatives echoed similar sentiments via its speaker, Mike Johnson.

In a video shared on X, Johnson stressed that he “did not know where Joe Kent is getting his information” because Iran was a threat to the country. “We all understood there was clearly an imminent threat that Iran was very close to the enrichment of nuclear capability,” Johnson claimed.

The House of Representatives speaker alleged that they got their information about Iran’s alleged production of missiles through briefings Kent was not privy to. On that note, Johnson argued that Trump chose to strike first to prevent “mass casualties.”

Owens isn’t the only female celebrity to slam Trump for the Iran war, as country music singer Maren Morris called out MAGA supporters. The Blast covered the story, reporting that she called out those who voted Trump back into office in a TikTok post.

“I don’t have forgiveness for the triple Trumpers or any of the Trumpers,” Morris declared, noting they got what they had voted for. She labeled Trump “a dementia-ridden, diaper-clad, cornball ex-TV host,” arguing that MAGA supporters knew who he was yet still voted for him and “got bamboozled.”

Morris also took shots at Fox News, describing the outlet as a “propaganda machine for cocomelon brain rot boomers,” and mocked Secretary of War Pete Hegseth. Although she did not directly mention the Iran war, her words hinted at the escalating tensions between the two countries.

Morris wasn’t the only musician to speak out against Trump and MAGA, as Kesha called out the administration earlier this month. The Blast reported that she penned a lengthy statement against Trump after her music was used to promote a war-themed post.

Kesha stressed that she did not support the White House’s use of her music “to incite violence and threaten war.” She slammed the administration for trying to make light of war, calling their actions “disgusting and inhumane.”

The “Joyride” hitmaker implored fans to choose love over hate, doubling down on her stance against her music being used to promote any form of violence. Kesha also referenced Trump’s appearance in the Epstein files, dubbing him a “criminal predator.”
