Erika Kirk‘s absence from a Turning Point USA event in Georgia has come under scrutiny.
The TPUSA CEO was scheduled to make the appearance alongside Vice President JD Vance but chose not to attend over alleged “security concerns.”
Erika Kirk’s reason has now been slammed as false by her late husband’s pal, Candace Owens, who has repeatedly scrutinized her in recent months.
Erika Kirk Allegedly Pulled A No-Show At TPUSA Event Over ‘Bad Ticket Sales’

In response to Erika explaining why she skipped a Turning Point USA event in Georgia, podcaster Candace Owens fired back with a lengthy rebuttal, accusing the mother of two of being dishonest.
Erika had cited security concerns as the reason for her absence, but Owens alleged that the real issue was low ticket sales.
“Stop. This is exhausting. You pulled out because of bad ticket sales. For the same reason, TPFaith had to ‘reschedule’ the Pastor’s Summit and various other events quietly,” Owens said on X.
The Turning Point USA event featured Vice President JD Vance, whom Candace Owens pointed to as evidence that Erika’s security concerns were unfounded and should not be believed by the public.
“The Secret Service sits above your security team. Were there actually a viable threat, the Vice President would not have continued the event. Your closest threat is the shit Public Relations team you hired that continues to operate under the delusion that they are smarter than the public,” Owens added.
Observers Share Mixed Reactions To Candace Owens’ Accusation

Several netizens agreed with Owens’ stance, citing how Vance could attend the event despite the alleged security concerns.
One user wrote, “Let me get this straight, the Vice President of the United States is safe to attend a public event with apparent known death threats, however, Erika can’t?
“Ok, I’m done, guys, that’s too much truth for this week,” they added.
Another netizen commented, “JD Vance is safe, but she’s not? How very special is she??”
“I find it remarkable that there is a “credible” threat yet the VP of the US is there? What a boatload of crap,” one more wrote.
While many sided with Candace Owens, others pushed back, pointing to what they described as her ongoing vendetta against the wife of the late Charlie Kirk.
“The craziest thing to me is that you are destroying the widow of apparently ‘your best friend’ with insane tabloid mental gymnastics, that no sane person can make any sense of, and then acting as if you are the arbiter of all that is real and true,” a user mentioned.
Erika Kirk’s Late Husband’s Pal Once Again Called On Her To Release Succession Video

In her response to Erika, Owens once again demanded that the mother of two release a video of her late husband naming her as his successor weeks before his death.
Erika had previously appeared to confirm that her husband supported her taking over through an audio recording played at AmericaFest, but Owens, at the time, argued that the clip had been edited and said a video should have been released instead.
“It seems out of place. At the very least, we can determine that it is clearly an edited audio. That’s very clearly edited audio,” Owens said of the succession audio in an episode of her podcast.
Candace Owens Claims People Who Attended AmericaFest Couldn’t Recall Charlie Kirk Choosing His Wife As His Successor

During her analysis of the audio, Candace Owens claimed she spoke with several individuals who attended the original event where it was allegedly recorded.
According to her, three out of the four people said they did not recall Charlie Kirk making any statement about succession.
She added that the fourth person who did remember such a remark appeared to have deeper ties to the nonprofit beyond simply being a donor.
TPUSA Explained Why They Chose Not To Release The Alleged Succession Video

One of the key figures at TPUSA, Blake Neff, claimed the organization did not release a video because of “psychopathic predators” like Owens, who they said do not care whether something is true or false.
Vance seemingly echoed the organization’s stance during his appearance at the TPUSA Georgia event.
“This desire to go after her for the way she’s grieving her husband, that’s the most preposterous thing I’ve seen in a long time,” the Vice President said of the scrutiny Erika has received since her husband’s death.
“Why don’t you stay in your own lane and mind your business?” he further remarked. “Grief is complicated.”
