Julia Roberts Reveals Bizarre New Year Resolution Linked To Almonds

Julia Roberts is going into the new year with fewer nuts!

The prolific actress addressed a few realities in her latest interview for 2026, and she declared her resolve to reshuffle a particular item in her diet, which often appears around her magically.

Julia Roberts had once shared her diet timetable for her day-to-day life in an interview nearly a decade ago, and none of it includes nuts, unless her team thinks it is an obsession picked up along the way.

The media personality expressed to the magazine that she was initially confused about the fact that increasingly large amounts of almond nuts often found their way around her on sets. Roberts established that she enjoys almond nuts, but she does not crave them in bulk quantities.

She likened her situation to George Clooney and his hatred for cheesecake after seeing it everywhere he goes for years in his new movie "Jay Kelly." According to her, the movie prompted her to send an email to her team requesting an overhaul of services rendered to her. In her words to Deadline:

"In the new year, one thing I would really like to do is review any and all riders that pertain to me in this world, because I think it might be time for a little reset on the almonds.' "

The duo have been pals for decades in the industry and have collaborated on a few projects. They will now reunite for "Oceans 14" alongside other stars from the critically acclaimed series. 

Roberts raved about the joint, revealing that for the first time, their schedule eventually aligned and they had time to bring this dream to life. "That's what George says. I'm on his team. There's so many things to have to consider, but when George gets a bee in his bonnet, things happen," the actress declared.

Clooney had given an update about how far they have gone with shooting, emphasizing in October that they just got a budget approval at Warner Bros, and all that is left is to schedule the perfect date for them to start filming.

Roberts and Clooney will be joined by Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, and Don Cheadle for the project. The father-of-two revealed about the movie: "There was something about the idea that we're too old to do what we used to do, but we're still smart enough to know how to get away with something, that just appeals to me."

In 2017, the Hollywood star shared what her daily meals were made up of with PEOPLE, establishing that it was a protein-heavy diet with a dash of cookies to satisfy her cravings.

Roberts declared her undying love for pasta during the interview, confessing that she often swaps out chicken at lunch for some tasty noodles. 

Her day begins with a nourishing breakfast of eggs over easy, sourdough toast, avocado, blueberries, coffee, and coconut water. She switches it up during lunch with a refreshing option of salad with grilled chicken. 

Dinner is usually light for the actress, and it includes rice, wild salmon, avocado, and wine. Roberts never forgets a nice chocolate chip cookie as a dessert after her meals and a bottle of water to keep her very hydrated all through the day. 

Roberts has starred in countless movies, which have earned her awards and recognition across Hollywood. Despite her years of experience in front of the camera and playing several roles, including a prostitute, which made her a household name and in the industry, she has no plans to call the shots behind the camera.

As shared by E! Online, when asked if she will ever direct during the premiere of her "August: Osage County," she declared:

"I think any housewife will tell you that you're directing pretty much 24/7 so I'll stick to the in-house directing. It's too much for me. I love being an actor, I love being a homemaker, and that's good for me."

In addition to her acting prowess, the actress added that she also knows how to whip up a good meal in the kitchen, which gladly takes up most of her time.

In 2024, The Blast noted that Roberts explained her reasons for choosing to always remain fully clothed for all her movie roles. Though she described it as a personal decision, the actress hoped to be a reminder to other women feeling pressured to go naked in front of the camera.

She, however, noted that her advice was not an avenue to condemn or crucify anyone for their choices. For her, Roberts also feels there is a deeper calling behind her resolve, and that is her biological connection to feminism.

She revealed that she embarked on a holistic family tree analysis, where she found out she is a DNA cousin of Gloria Steinem, a feminist icon. The star had also revealed in previous interviews that she keeps the clothes on for the sake of her kids.

"You know it's not really what I do, so if you are going to ask me to do it, you have to expect it to be toned down. You know, as a mum of three, I feel like that," Roberts concluded.
