Roberts made some major reveals about her film career in her British Vogue cover debut. The iconic actress has famously declined to do racy roles and fully nude scenes in her many onscreen projects. Even in the iconic "Pretty Woman," where Roberts played a prostitute, she remained fully clothed and covered in all scenes.

During her interview with the fashion magazine, Roberts revealed she hopes to be an example to other women feeling the pressure to strip entirely on camera. When asked if she feels any "responsibility to other women" regarding her film career, the actress said it's a personal choice.

Roberts also said her stance on nudity in films could be linked to her biological connection to feminism.

She stated that she's done a family tree discovery with "Finding Your Roots" star Dr. Henry Gates. The testing reportedly revealed that the "Erin Brockovich" actress is "DNA cousins with Gloria Steinem," a feminist icon.

In previous interviews, Roberts had shared that she decided not to strip for the sake of her kids. The actress said, per Daily Mail, "When asked if she would consider doing a nude scene in a film, she said: 'You know it's not really what I do, so if you are going ask me to do it, you have to expect it to be toned down. You know, as a mum of three, I feel like that."

When asked how she remains so beautiful, Roberts said, "Good genes, leading a life that is fulfilling, and I have said this – and I say it usually as kind of a joke – but I do believe in the love of a good man. Roberts also discussed her iconic 1999 romcom "Notting Hill." The actress revealed that despite the film's immense success and its impact on her career, she almost turned it down.

Roberts said, "Honestly, one of the hardest things I've ever had to do was your movie, playing a movie actress. I was so uncomfortable! I mean, we've talked about this so many times, but I almost didn't take the part because it just seemed – oh, it just seemed so awkward. I didn't even know how to play that person."

Roberts also stated that in her iconic "I'm just a girl" scene, she was actually wearing her own clothes because she "loathed" the wardrobe. She said, "My driver, lovely Tommy, I sent him back to my flat that morning. I said, 'Go into my bedroom and grab this, this and this out of my closet.' And it was my own flip-flops and my cute little blue velvet skirt and a T-shirt and my cardigan."
