Celebrity chef, Jet Tila, is getting a double-scoop of resentment from many of his loyal fans after the announcement of a new series with Ben & Jerry's, who are known for being vocal about their stance on law enforcement in the United States.
Jet Tila, who has appeared on Food Network stapes like "Cutthroat Kitchen," "Chopped," and "Iron Chef," will be a judge on the new summertime show, "Ben & Jerry’s: Clash of the Cones." The 4-part series was actually taped on the hallowed ice cream grounds of Ben & Jerry's HQ in Waterbury, VT – but it seems that many of Tila's fans are giving his new project the cold shoulder.

The chef recently took to Instagram and revealed the big news to fans about his upcoming show. "This is going to be awesome! Can’t wait for Team Tila to watch Ben & Jerry’s: Clash of the Cones," he wrote to his nearly 350,000 followers.
Although there were positive responses from some, many immediately pointed out the polarizing political stance the ice cream makers take on law enforcement. "Sorry they are way to political for me to enjoy the show. Find another brand, and will gladly watch," one user commented on Tila's post.
"No thanks… I’ll pass on the multi millionaire socialist/communist that hate America and our heroes that risk their lives everyday so events like this can happen. Really disappointed in your choice of company to work with. Blue Bell would have been a better choice," another follower bluntly wrote.
"With their stance against law enforcement, I’m shocked to see this pairing," a third person wrote.
Chef Tila's Law Enforcement Ties
The "shock" from many of Tila's fans is due to the fact he is part of a law enforcement family, something he has proudly shared on social media in the past.

Back in 2016, Chef Tila shared a photo of himself with his brother, who works as an officer for the LAPD. "One brother makes a difference and the other makes Pad Thai," he captioned the pic.
Ben & Jerry's Political Stance
Ben & Jerry's has been very vocal about defunding the police since the murder of George Floyd by convicted killer, and former officer Derek Chauvin. Unlike other companies, the ice cream makers have not walked on eggshells while expressing their frustrations over systemic racism and the changes that many in the country want to see take place.
Last year, they made headlines over a tweet that included a cartoon (above) about defunding the police with a graphic that suggested more money in the U.S. should be allocated for affordable housing, job training, education, mental health counseling, and substance abuse treatment.
Details On the New Show
According to Variety, "Ben & Jerry’s: Clash of the Cones" will be hosted by Food Network star, Molly Yeh, who will challenge "six ice-cream makers to create new concoctions inspired by a specific celebrity or pop-culture figure, each of whom will offer direction."
Jet Tila will be one of the judges, along with a certified Ben & Jerry's "flavor expert." Although many will be tuning in on August 9 for the premiere, it seems many of Tila's LEO fans won't be supporting, as the collab has left a bad taste in their mouths.
