Singer Cher Unbothered By Relationship Age Gap Critics Because 'They’re Not Living My Life'

Singer Cher is not letting criticism get in the way of her romance with much younger Alexander 'AE' Edwards.

The queen of pop waved off whatever anyone has to say about the wide age gap between her and her beau as they press on three years deep into their whirlwind romance.

Singer Cher and Alexander 'AE' Edwards began dating in late 2022 after a sighting in Los Angeles. They later became red carpet official at the Versace fashion show in Early 2023.

The singer appeared on CBS Mornings for an interview on Tuesday, where her relationship became the topic, especially the age difference between her and Edwards, and how they navigate it.

In true superstar fashion, Cher shrugged it off and declared in the interview that when it came to critics, "They're not living my life. Nobody knows what goes on between us, but we just have a blast."

FYI, there is a 40-year age gap between Cher and Edwards, which really is not such a big deal to the actress as she stays very young and fresh at heart. She then gushed about her adorable boyfriend, describing him as very beautiful and one of the most talented people he has ever met.

Most importantly, Cher is very appreciative of the ground they have covered so far and how they laugh together all the time.

Yes, Cher and Edwards are in love and not afraid to show it off. Page Six confirmed that the couple was spotted weeks ago at an event for Alan Faena's new hotel in West Chelsea. 

The couple attended the private opening of an installation commissioned by Faena Art in New York on October 10, holding hands and never letting each other out of sight.

At the event, the singer got busy by serving guests some of her "Cherlato" ice cream with Gianpaolo "Giapo" Grazioli, which was only when she took a break from PDAing with her man.

An eyewitness at the event confirmed that the couple shared such a close bond and could not hide the depth of their happiness with each other. According to the source, "She was in great spirits, hanging out with friends and her boyfriend. The entire night felt electric and free."

The 'Believe' singer took to X to unveil a new nickname for her boyfriend in 2023. As reported by The Blast, Cher shared two loved-up images of them on her X account, including one of Edwards kissing her neck lovingly during a date night.

She looked gorgeous in a black and silver ensemble paired with a blonde wig, adiamond ring, and a lovely smile. The star accompanied the adorable pictures with a caption where she called him "Daddy."

Cher did not stop there, she uploaded another post showing she was battle ready for the criticisms that would trail her pictures. In the post, Cher shared a photo of her locking eyes with Edwards and all smiles.

"This should send you Haters to the Part in Wizzard of OZ…WHEN DOROTHY THREW WATER ON THE wicked Witch & melted her," Cher added in the caption.

Reports from the singer's camp squashed reports of any problem in the relationship earlier in the year after Edwards was spotted in Coachella without Cher in sight.

As shared by The Blast, the actress's reps explained that the couple were very much happy together and could not attend the festival as a pair due to Cher's clashing schedules.

Weeks before Edwards was sighted with a few female friends at the event, Cher had hinted that they were working on a new album together. While production is yet to commence, the singer expressed her excitement for the project, where Edwards would call all the shots.

The duo had earlier collaborated on Cher's 2023 Christmas album for the single "Drop Top Sleigh Ride." Back then, she took front row, raving about his talent and describing him as a "producer, and a writer" whose knowledge expands across several genres.

Before Cher came into Edwards' life, he was in a relationship with model and media personality Amber Rose. Rose, who had been in a couple of high-profile relationships in Hollywood, was beyond surprised that Edwards moved on so quickly from their split and found love in Cher's arms.

She confessed in an interview that the incident left her feeling a bit insecure, as she did not imagine Edwards having that side to him. Rose added that the event shaped her in a way that all her attention now shifts to her kids.

She noted that her willpower to stay or be in a relationship had diminished as she watched the music producer treat their time together like it meant nothing to him.
