Lady Gaga is known for her outrageous fashion choices, but she is setting a very classy summer trend in NYC!
The "Rain On Me" singer made the stairs of the famous Plaza Hotel in New York City her personal runway on Wednesday, June 30. In fact, she's been capturing the eyes of the fashion world and the eyes of the paparazzi's cameras since her arrival in her home city on Tuesday. Gaga kindly greeted her fans (the Little Monsters) outside of her hotel while looking fabulous in a black & white embroidered puff sleeve midi dress by Giuseppe di Morabito. The stunning gown featured a guipure flower design and is from Morabito's Spring/Summer 2021 line.
Greeting The Little Monsters
Gaga wore her hair up in a tight bun as not to distract from the gorgeous dress. Her stylists, Sandra Amador and Tom Eerebout, added a pair of dark, cat-eye shades and elegant earrings. The two fashion-forward stylists earned a special shoutout for dressing the singer on the designer's official social media.
Lady Gaga Announces Her Return
The "Paparazzi" artist's return to NYC definitely spiced up the street fashion scene as celebrities and locals are making strides to return to a sense of normalcy. Gaga announced her big return on social media with a series of pink pics. "Did somebody say NEW YORK?....also why are these hats such a thing đ," she captioned the bright photos.

She and her team selected a pink ruched midi dress for her first day in the city but have since decided that black is the new black. Gaga wore two different dark looks on Wednesday, and she seems to be the first celeb to show off her summer style on the streets.
Despite outdoing herself daily, she told Oprah in a 2019 Elle interview that she doesn't feel pressure to one-up herself. "Not anymore. I used to, though,â Gaga said at the time. âI used to try to wrap my brain as heavy as I could around what I could do to.... Instead of being shocking (I used to say âshock artâ or âperformance artâ), I would use the word âbemuse,â which is basically putting the audience in a state of confusion where they canât look away. I used to just go, 'What am I going to do next to get peopleâs attention?'â
Her NYC outfits are not as bold as her famous meat dress, but she is certainly making a statement that fashion is back in New York City!
