NBA superstar Steph Curry is making impressive moves on and off the court.
He recently accepted a new role in college basketball while also investing in the professional women's off-season league, Unrivaled.
The Golden State Warriors guard is set to join his alma mater, Davidson College, as an assistant general manager for the basketball program, making him the first active player in a professional U.S. sport to take an administrative position with an NCAA team.
And shortly after that exciting news broke, news that Curry is backing Unrivaled, a fast-growing league aimed at revolutionizing professional women's basketball, also hit the internet. And of course, he also made some waves on the court this week scoring 25,000 points in the league.
Steph Curry Becomes The Latest Investor In Unrivaled

Unrivaled recently announced that the Warriors star has joined the "Unrivaled Investor Family." The four-time NBA Champion, two-time MVP, and Olympic gold medalist is the latest investor to join the new women's off-season league.
"I am incredibly proud to be joining the Unrivaled family as the league continues to set a new standard for how women’s professional sports should operate—empowering athletes and ensuring they have a real stake in their own success,” said Curry, according to a press release sent to The Blast from Unrivaled.
“Unrivaled is not just innovating the way we play basketball, but also how we value and invest in the athletes who drive the game forward.”
Unrivaled's Inaugural Season Is Going Strong

Unrivaled's first season has been going strong with many investors, sponsors, and tons of on court excitement.
According to the press release, "In December, Unrivaled announced an oversubscribed Series A investment round, in which Curry’s investment was included. The league secured more than $28 million in Series A funding to go along with the $7 million raised during the league’s seed round, which was announced in May 2024, totaling $35 million for the league to-date."
In addition to Curry, other league investors include Carmelo Anthony, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis, Coco Gauff, and many others. Sponsors include Sephora, Samsung Galaxy, TNT Sports, Under Armour, Ally Financial, Miller Lite, State Farm, Ticketmaster, Sprite, BODYARMOR Sports Drink, and Mediapro North America.
The season has been fast paced and is currently gearing up for the semifinals on March 16 and the championship game on March 17.

On Monday, ESPN's Shams Charania reported that Curry accepted a role at his alma mater, Davidson College, as an assistant general manager for the basketball programs. Before becoming an NBA superstar, Curry gained attention on the court at Davidson College, playing three seasons from 2006 through 2009.
“The Davidson experience is top notch,” Curry said in a statement released by the college.
“My journey from when I got to Davidson in 2006 to now demonstrated that I had the opportunity to play basketball at the highest level, got a great education, an amazing network through the Davidson alumni and continue to wave the Davidson flag. I want very talented, high character student athletes to have that same experience.”
Curry's No. 30 jersey was retired by Davidson in 2022. He was also inducted into the school's hall of fame.

It's been a busy and exciting few days for Curry, who in addition to accepting his new role at Davidson College and becoming an investor in Unrivaled, also hit a milestone on the court.
The NBA shared a post on Instagram for the big moment, captioning the video, "@stephencurry30 in appropriate fashion hits the triple for 25,000 career points!"
The Warriors also shared the news on Instagram with an old video of Curry talking about where he thinks he will be in 10 years.
"10 years, I want to be known as a true professional, a guy that played the game the right way," he said. "Hopefully still in the league and still effective in the league. There's not many people that last in double digit years. So, it starts now and building a foundation for later on down the road."
