Rick Ross is facing financial scrutiny after being slammed with a state tax execution for an alleged five-figure debt to the State of Georgia.

Thisis a surprise, considering Ross has made headlines for big purchases, including his $3.5 million cash deal for Amare Stoudemire's mansion in Florida back in 2021.

This legal move by the Georgia Department of Revenue follows reports that Rick Ross owes significant taxes for previous years, with the execution filed in late 2024.

The  Georgia Department of Revenue filed a state tax execution against the rapper, alleging he owes nearly $65,000 in unpaid taxes. The department claims Ross has accumulated "delinquent tax liabilities" that have ballooned over time.

Initially, the entrepreneur's debt stood at $29,043, but interest charges ($10,576), penalties ($19,516.80), collection fees ($5,808), and other expenses have pushed the total to $64,995.21.

Court documents obtained by In Touch reveal the tax bill stems from 2021 and that a Florida address is listed for Ross, whose legal name is William Leonard Roberts.

The 'Aston Martin Music' Hitmaker Faces Double Legal Trouble

Apart from his five-figure tax debt, Ross is also dealing with a lawsuit alleging accessibility failures at his 2024 car show. Paraplegic attendee Darris Straughter filed a lawsuit claiming Ross' event, the Rick Ross Car Show in Florida, lacked promised wheelchair accommodations.

Straughter's lawyer stated the $500 VIP pass-holder endured hours in the summer heat without accessible shuttles "for several hours while thousands of non-disabled individuals were whisked away to The Promise Land."

Ross has denied liability and requested the suit be dismissed, arguing that Straughter "failed to allege sufficient facts to support" his claims.

The artist's legal team stated Straughter had no contract with Ross or his business and noted that Straughter only raised accessibility concerns months after purchasing his ticket and making travel arrangements. Additionally, Ross' lawyers argued:

"The alleged one-time denial of an accessible service, when as [Darris] admits he was able to attend the car show without issue on a prior occasion, is insufficient to show that he will likely suffer irreparable harm absent injunctive relief."

The Rapper Once Shared Financial Advice

Despite his extravagant lifestyle, Ross' legal troubles cast doubt on his financial management—a surprising twist given his outspoken advice on fiscal responsibility.

The Blast reported that Ross once shared his "keys to staying rich" during Revolt's "Assets Over Liabilities "series in 2021. He touted two principles — cutting his own grass and flying commercial. However, whether these habits extend to his many properties remains a mystery.

It is tough to picture Ross flying economy or mowing lawns across his sprawling estates from Atlanta to Miami, especially considering his admission of owning million-dollar homes just for their aesthetic appeal.

Rick Ross Made A $3.5 Million Home Purchase In Cash

Ross' financial moves often turn heads, and his 2021 purchase of NBA legend Amare Stoudemire's Florida mansion was no exception.

The father-of-five reportedly shelled out a staggering $3.5 million in cash for the luxurious estate, located in the exclusive Landmark Ranch Estates of Southwest Ranches.

The Blast reported that the 6-bedroom, 6-bathroom property spans over 8,675 square feet and sits on an impressive 2.35 acres of gated privacy.

Initially bought by Stoudemire for $3.7 million in 2011, the home hit the market in February 2021, only to be snapped up by Ross less than a month later.

According to PEOPLE, the deal made history as the fastest closing ever in the upscale neighborhood. Ross expressed his admiration for the property, stating, "From the moment I stepped inside, I appreciated the high ceilings and rich detail."

Inside The Mansion That Made History

Ross' Southwest Ranches estate is a property that redefines opulence. Spanning 2.33 acres, the estate boasts stunning landscaping along its lengthy driveway, leading to a resort-style pool.

The realtor highlighted the home's entertainer-friendly features, including a covered summer kitchen, expansive patio, soundproof theater, and a sophisticated bar with custom millwork.

For car enthusiasts, the estate offers a porte-cochere and a 9-car garage. Inside, the luxurious primary suite has a custom closet, bonus room, sitting area, and a spacious, light-filled bathroom.

Meanwhile, the chef's kitchen features four ovens, a six-burner gas range, two dishwashers, and a walk-in pantry. The main house includes four bedrooms and five-and-a-half bathrooms, while the guesthouse adds two more bedrooms and one bathroom.

With these ongoing legal challenges, Rick Ross may need to rethink his approach to his finances.
