Rapper Rick Ross recently went on the new, Assets Over Liabilities, series for Revolt to talk about his business dealings. There are a couple of quotes from the rapper's appearance on the YouTube series that have been making the rounds these last couple of days. Ross, as has been the case with many successful rappers, usually grabs headlines these days for his seemingly frivolous spending. That being said, the man is still worth over 40 million dollars. Even though he hasn't really produced many hits over the last 10 plus years. How does he really stay rich? Ross shared a couple of tips that he follows to make sure that he isn't spending too much cash!

Rick Ross' financial advice through his appearance on the show is essentially all over the place. Particularly after he talked about buying things just to look at them. That being said, he did share what he essentially labeled the key to staying rich. There were two main components to this key which were cutting your own grass and flying commercial. He did mention that he does trim his own grass, but he wasn't clear if he does this for the multiple properties that he owns. We're going to go out on the limb here and say he probably doesn't cut the grass on all of his properties. What is he going to do fly commercial or drive from Atlanta to Miami, just to cut some grass? That doesn't seem like a big money saver!

When you're talking about cutting your own grass and flying commercial as ways to keep your living costs low, and then you follow that up, with yeah, a bought a million dollar home just to look at it, it kind of kills your rant on eliminating frivolous spending. Having said this his story about the one million dollar Atlanta home is just such a power move. He says in the video available on YouTube,

“After I got my deal and my situation, I bought a million-dollar home maybe two minutes from here that I still own that’s right around the corner, just so I can ride by it every day while I’m in Atlanta, and that’s what the play was,”

Rick Ross owns a collection of over 100 cars. Which from what we've learned he can't actually drive because he had his license removed! He hasn't had a hit in a long time. Unlike other rappers though, he's made some smart investments that have allowed him to continue to see a steady income of money flowing in. He's revealed that he owns several Checkers and Wingstop restaurant franchises. That along with some other business ventures that he's involved him bring him in an estimated monthly income of about 585,000 dollars. You can buy a 1 million dollar house with that type of income just for the fun of it for sure. If anything Rick Ross showed that you can do some frivolous spending, when you build a business empire that continues to bring in good money!
