Lil Nas X has been one of the biggest stars in the world as this all started back in the spring of 2019 with his breakout hit single, "Old Town Road," featuring country legend, Billy Ray Cyrus. That record skyrocketed to the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart and is the most streamed song in US history. It is also the highest certified song in RIAA history. Nas X has been creating controversy for his "Montero" single lately and now, with his mother.

Nas X's Mother Reportedly Seen In Atlanta Asking People For Money

At this point in his career, Nas X has millions of dollars. According to social media though, a video was posted to social media that went viral on Wednesday of what appears to be his mother on the streets asking others for money. This supposedly went down in Nas X's hometown of Atlanta. His mother is said to have a drug addiction to this day and many wonder why the star artist hasn't gotten her the help needed.

Nas X Said Last Year That He Doesn't Have A Good Relationship With His Mother

In early 2020, Nas X revealed to Varietythat he doesn't have the greatest relationship with his mother at all. This is due to him explaining at the time that she does suffer from drug addictions.

"I never really talk about my mom," said Nas X to Variety. "She's an addict so we don't have the closest relationship. Even trying to get her better - things didn't quite work out. But there's still love..."

Nas X's 'Montero' Single May Be Removed From Streaming Platforms

On Tuesday, Nas X revealed that his "Montero" single could be removed from streaming outlets soon. He then encouraged fans to screen record the audio and/or music video on YouTube just in case. The record label he's signed to, Columbia Records, also confirmed that this is a possibility. Nas X said he expected this to happen on Wednesday but for many, the single is still available on platforms such as Spotify and Apple Music. It recently hit No. 1 on the Bilboard Hot 100.

Nas X Is Preparing To Release Debut Album

At the end of March, Nas X also took to social media to reveal that his debut studio album will finally arrive sometime this summer. For now, the title is expected to be "Montero The Album." His last project was his seven-track "7" EP in the summer of 2019. This EP went on to debut at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart and is certified platinum by the RIAA in the US. It featured Old Town Road and other hits such as "Panini" and "Rodeo" feat. Cardi B.
