Cardi B Seeks Divorce Once More Amid New Offset Cheating Allegations

There's trouble in paradise for Cardi B and Offset amid the latest cheating rumors surrounding the "Open It Up" rapper.

Since the beginning of their marriage, rumors have swirled about Offset’s alleged infidelity. Just this week, the rapper was seen out and about with a woman he was reportedly involved with in the past.

While he has denied the latest cheating claims, Cardi B officially filed for divorce from her estranged husband on Wednesday.

According to Page Six, Cardi is aiming for primary custody of their kids--daughter, Kulture, 5, and a son, Wave, 2--and showing no signs of backing down.

While the rep who spoke to the outlet kept mum on specifics, it’s clear Cardi is determined this time around.

A source close to the drama revealed that the recent cheating rumors weren’t the final blow for Cardi—she’s had enough, and she’s not letting this one slide. “They’ve grown apart. That’s what drove her to this decision more than anything else,” the insider claimed. “This is something she wants to do.”

After Offset was caught hanging out with a woman, later identified as PrettyRedz, at a casino, he went on Instagram Live, claiming that he and the woman are nothing more than friends. "Shorty ain't my shorty," he said.

"People really need to do the research," he later added. "I'm at a public place gambling at a casino with a married 8-month pregnant woman wtf I look like being outside publicly cheating SMD!!!"

PrettyRedz also squashed the rumors: “It’s completely crazy that I even have to do this. PLEASE. If not for me… PLEASE RESPECT MY LATE HUSBAND. I AM JUST BEGINNING TO GRIEVE. HAVING A NIGHT OUT WITH FAMILY IS NOT A OPPORTUNITY FOR CLICKBAIT!"

“I AM CARRYING THE LAST GIFT MY HUSBAND GAVE THIS EARTH! " she added. "ALL I WANT IS PEACE! IF YOU’RE LOOKING FOR A STORY THERE IS NOTHING TO SEE HERE!!! PLEASE RESPECT ALL FAMILIES INVOLVED Y’ALL MAKE THINGS UP NOT CARING ABOUT THE IMPACT. Please STOP!”

Cardi and Offset tied the knot in September 2017 but have had their share of splits, including a notable separation in 2020 when Cardi initially filed for divorce before reconciling with him.

This second divorce wasn’t a shock to Offset, as a source revealed, “They both have been trying to figure out what their future looks like for a while now."

“It’s not something that happened overnight… They’ve both been on the same page. There wasn’t [pushback]. They’ve grown apart and that feeling has gotten stronger over time. It’s become unavoidable,” the source added.

While the road has been rocky for Cardi B and Offset, the "WAP" rapper "has no ill-will towards" Offset.

"She’s wishing him the best. She’s not going into this next season [of her life] with any beef or any drama. She wants everything to be very peaceful,” the source said.

This latest news comes months after Cardi B and Offset sparked separation rumors after unfollowing each other on social media. Around the same time, Cardi B took to her Instagram stories with a cryptic message that seemed to hint at outgrowing relationships and her readiness to stop shielding others' feelings.

They also had a brief split in late December 2018 after Offset’s infidelity came to light. The two then reunited in early 2019, and in 2020, Cardi B shared the reasons behind her decision to forgive Offset’s infidelity.

"When me and my husband got into our issues—you know, he cheated and everything—and I decided to stay with him and work together with him, a lot of people were so mad at me," she told Vogue at the time. "A lot of women felt disappointed in me. But it's real-life sh-t. If you love somebody and you stop being with them, you're not really happy on the inside until you have the conversation."

Plus, in 2020, Cardi first filed for divorce but soon reconciled with her husband. Just a few months ago in April, they were seen enjoying a date night at a New York Knicks game at Madison Square Garden.
