Cardi B Declares She Has Been 'Single For A Minute Now' Amid Divorce Rumors

Cardi B shared a relationship update during her recent social media live session, revealing that she and Offset are no longer together.

The statement seemingly confirms fans' suspicions that the couple, who had a secret wedding in September 2017, are no longer together. Many have alleged that the parents of two are in the throes of divorce.

The week must have started rough for Offset and Cardi's fanbase when the "Bodak Yellow" rapper disclosed they were separated during a live session. She began:

"I don't know if y'all have been getting clues from me from my live, I mean... or from my Instagram Stories, where I put certain music. When it comes to events and stuff, I don't think it's true, I don't care to find out because I have been single for a minute now."

She then explained that while she had been unsure of "how to tell the world," she felt "like today has been like a sign." Cardi continued:

"The last time I got on Live I kind of wanted to tell you but I didn't know how to tell you so I changed my mind. But this has been for a minute now and I just feel like this is a sign. So, I wanna start 2024 afresh... open. I am curious for a new life, for a new beginning. Yeah, I am excited."

The entire conversion, which happened on her latest Instagram Live, was recorded by Popcrave and shared on their X page. The upload gave onlookers a chance to watch and react to the 31-year-old's words amid rumors of a divorce.

"Awww. My ship. But if he won't stop cheating. Cut him loose ✂," one person advised, while another cheered, "Good for her, i hope she stays single. f— offset."

A third viewer quoted, "Hopefully she doesn't take him back for the third time, all he does is cheat and cheat and cheat again."

A fourth noted, "We all knew this relationship had an expiration date. I wish Cardi the best, she seems happy!" and a fifth asserted, "if this is true she's going to be the biggest star in the world, i always felt like he was holding her back."

"She outgrew the relationship ??‍♂️," a sixth X user quipped in reference to Cardi's previous Instagram Stories where she discussed the experience of "outgrowing relationships" and expressed fatigue from prioritizing others' feelings over her own well-being.

Speculations at the time suggested that the post may have been directed at her rapper husband, whom she shares daughter Kulture Kiari Cephus and son Wave Set Cephus with. Adding to rumors of potential marital troubles, the duo reportedly "unfollowed" each other on Instagram, an action observed a week ago.

Despite the unfollowing, both Cardi B and Offset still feature pictures of each other on their individual Instagram accounts. Notably, they still have posts from Mother's Day and Father's Day from earlier in the year, as well as the cover image for their collaboration, "Jealousy," indicating that certain aspects of their connection remain intact on both platforms.

Prior to all these, the allegedly estranged lovebirds celebrated their sixth wedding anniversary, with Cardi taking to Instagram to showcase her beau's extraordinary and impressive gesture on the big day.

In a 20-second video she uploaded in September, the "Finesse" hitmaker displayed a breathtaking anniversary surprise from the "Ric Flair Drip" performer. Holding a stunning pink rose bouquet, she walked into their mansion adorned with over ten magnificent and giant bouquets. 

The entrance, set up by the spiral staircase, featured beautifully lit candles. As Beyoncé's "Summertime" played loudly, Cardi cheered her appreciation, declaring her love to Offset and humming along to the romantic lyrics. 

She shared her desire to grow old with him, linking the song to their real-life journey, mentioning their son Wave and daughter Kulture as their mini-mes. She wrote in the accompanying caption:

"Thank you sooo much baby. Thank you for the flowers, the empowerment, the protection and for being a great father to our children... I love so many things about you. I love the fact that I'm with a grown a— man that's going to provide , protect and help both of us GROW and can handle my mouth , my attitude, my confidence, my weakness and all this A—!!"
