Hockey Goalie Mikayla Demaiter Ditches Her Bikini To Hit The Ice

Model Mikayla Demaiter is a retired hockey goalie who has decided to pursue a career as a model. Over the past few months, she has shared more and more bikini photos with her millions of Instagram followers, especially as the weather heats up.

However, the social media sensation decided to ditch her bikini as she shared a few photos of her posing outside the rink in her hockey gear. Even though fans love to see Mikayla in a swimsuit, other followers were happy to see her wearing "normal" clothes!

Last weekend, Mikayla shared four photos that featured her sitting on a blue bench outside the rink. She is wearing her hockey gear on the lower half of her body but wore only a simple white long-sleeve shirt to cover her top. Her long blonde hair fell in loose waves around her face as she moved through a variety of poses. “Taking a much-needed break after melting all the ice,” she wrote in the caption.

Army National Reserve veteran and Playboy cover model Kindly Myers was one of the first to comment, writing, “Taking a much needed break after melting all the ice.” Some fans were pleased to see that she was not wearing a bikini. “Was getting tired of all the hot bikini photos. Finally, we get some real content,” one fan commented. “Finally, something other than a bikini,” another follower agreed. “The Ice Hockey Queen returns!” a third fan exclaimed. Although she may have retired, she does still play hockey for fun, along with basketball and soccer.

Last month, most of the U.S. seemed to be melting under a heat wave. The Canadian model apologized for the heat as she posed in a two-piece lilac purple outfit that featured a floral print. Her sun-kissed tan was put on full display with her sleeveless top, which she accessorized with a pearl necklace. “Sorry for the heat wave…” she wrote in the caption.

“You are a very special lady, Mikayla! Absolutely gorgeous,” one fan commented. “I know you can't help it it came with the GORGEOUS body,” another follower gushed. “Not a thousand poets in a thousand years could describe your beauty,” a third fan chimed in, although some thought that her photos were edited. “One leg is SOOOOO much skinnier than the other,” one user claimed. “She looks crooked as hell with all this photo editing.”

Although some fans have claimed that Mikayla is just an Instagram model created through artificial intelligence, she is a real person! In April 2019, she said goodbye to a career in hockey in order to pursue modeling full-time. “Dear Hockey, It is time to say goodbye. It is time to turn the page and move to the next chapter of my life, for the first time you will not be my number one focus,” she wrote in an Instagram post at the time.

“I want to thank you for the places we’ve gone together. I also want to thank you for all the friends you have made me. My family sends their best as well. I know they will definitely miss seeing us together,” she continued. “I am excited for the future because everything you have taught me will allow me to succeed. There will still be early mornings, new adventures and new friends, and I hope that I embrace them with the same love and passion I did for you.”
