Melania Trump reportedly has no intention of being a full-time first lady if Donald Trump is reelected in November.

The former model is said to have an arrangement with her husband that would allow her to step back from her duties whenever she wants to focus on their son, Barron Trump, who may be attending New York University for college next fall.

Melania Trump allegedly "feels safe" living in New York City and can "provide both emotional and physical support by being close" to her Barron.

According to Page Six, Melania isn't interested in a 24/7 first lady role should her husband emerge victorious in the upcoming presidential elections.

It is believed that the Be Best initiative founder has already gotten Trump to agree to a "deal" that would allow her to juggle the role with her desire to be a "hands-on mother" for their son Barron, should he attend NYU.

Knowing that "Barron has never been completely on his own before," alongside other issues he is bound to face as a freshman, Melania wants to be "close" by as he begins to navigate that part of his life.

By taking on a part-time role, Melania might miss several events that the job typically requires her to attend.

However, according to the source, Trump isn't concerned about the optics. He believes people will understand that she needs to prioritize her family since he might be away most of the time focusing on presidential duties.

The insider shared, "Donald is close to Barron but isn't going to [be] tossing footballs with him when he's the president and the head of the free world. Donald has already agreed to this, and feels that mothers and parents across the country will understand Melania's devotion to their son."

The source added: "Donald trusts Melania to bring up their son the same way he trusted Ivana to bring up their children… Donald feels it worked for Ivanka, Eric, and Don Jr."

In May, Barron was nominated as a delegate for the Florida GOP to attend the Republican Convention in Milwaukee.

While the offer made him the youngest member of the Trump family to be given such a role, it was quickly declined.

A statement from his mother's office claimed that Barron had "prior commitments" that prevented him from following in the footsteps of his step-siblings, Donald jr, Eric, and Tiffany.

According to the insider, Melania did not support her son being a Florida GOP delegate because it clashed with her plans for the eighteen-year-old.

The insider noted that Barron's "extremely protective mother pushed back on the idea," seemingly because it did not align with her plans for him.

And if Barron heads to NYU for school, Melania would most likely live in Trump Tower, a place where she "feels safe."

From Trump Tower, she can offer "emotional and physical support by being close," just as she did when she postponed moving to Washington, DC, until Barron completed school during her husband's previous term.

Melania has kept a low profile since her husband got convicted in his hush money trial, which concluded some weeks ago.

The billionaire mogul was found guilty of 34 counts of falsifying his business records to hide illegal payments made to adult star Stormy Daniels to keep her mum about their alleged one-night stand.

While the former model has refused to comment on the verdict, Trump recently confirmed that it affected her and other family members.

"I think in many ways it's tougher on them than it is on me. They're good people, all of them — everyone," the 77-year-old said during his appearance on Fox and Friends, per The Blast.

He added about his wife, "She's fine, but I think it's very hard for her … she has to read all this cr-p."
