Former First Lady Melania Trump is reportedly "distancing" herself from her husband, Donald Trump, and will likely not return to Washington, D.C., if her husband wins the 2024 presidential election.

According to experts, Melania has little interest in politics and would probably split her time between Palm Beach and New York.

Since the start of her husband's re-election campaign, Melania Trump has been noticeably absent from major events. She also did not appear in court to support him during his trials.

Melania is known for staying under the radar and has made sure to avoid Trump's campaign rallies and events.

However, according to "Melania-ologists" surveyed by Axios, the Slovenian-born former model is said to be "distancing herself" from her husband and will likely not join him in Washington, D.C., if he ends up winning the election in November.

"She's distancing herself even more from her husband and from the Washington social political scene," stated Kate Andersen Brower, an author who has written about the White House and first ladies. "I mean, she clearly hated being in Washington."

Another expert, Washington Post associate editor Mary Jordan, noted that "Melania does what Melania wants" and that this makes her "stand out in history from any other first lady."

Jordan added that Melania sees the office of the First Lady as "unelected, not paid," which makes her less interested in committing to it.

Recently, a former aide to Melania made some serious claims about her relationship with Trump.

Stephanie Winston Wolkoff, who previously served as Melania's senior advisor, posted a clip from the original opening of Trump's show, "The Apprentice," on X.

The footage featured Melania holding baby Barron and Trump coming out of a car.

Wolkoff commented on the video, stating, "Many might assume 'DADDY'S HOME' is a Father's Day clip. Not at all! Millions watched 'The Apprentice,' making Trump a household name. He needed a woman who looked and played the part and let him be the star. Marrying Melania and making her a Vogue Cover model -legitimized them both."

In a follow-up tweet, Wolkoff argued that the show's depiction of the couple played a significant role in their rise to the White House, describing it as a "mirage" created by Survivor producer Mark Burnett and NBC executive Jeff Zucker.
