Kailyn Lowry wants a boob job. However, the doctor she consulted with declined and informed her of the necessary steps to obtain approval.
The "Teen Mom" alum and podcast host shared her "humbling" experience on a recent episode of her "Barely Famous" podcast.
Kailyn Lowry Revealed What A Doctor Told Her She Needed To Do Before She Can Get A Boob Job
Lowry, 32, had a phone consultation with a plastic surgeon recently and shared how that conversation went with her podcast listeners a few days ago.
The mom of seven decided since she wanted to get a boob job, she would call around for consultations to get the ball rolling.
"You know what they told me? They told me I need to lose 40 pounds," Lowry shared. "So 40 or 50 pounds, more like 50 but maybe get away with 40 pounds, before they can even operate on me."
While some might get angry by such a conversation, Lowry said the experience was emotional and "extremely humbling" for her.
"I've been wanting to do this breast reduction, implants, lift, whatever it is," she continued. "She was like, 'Do you still want to schedule this?' I'm literally sobbing. Already the water works have started."
Viewers Shared Their Thoughts On Her Podcast Clip
Lowry shared a clip of her recent podcast on both Instagram and TikTok captioned, "What they actually said was my BMI is entirely too high to operate so when I did the math it comes down to needing to lose between 40-50 lbs."
Some listeners dropped into the comments on Instagram to leave negative thoughts and warnings about Lowry wanting a boob job.
"Jesus you have a daughter now you want her to be so unhappy with her body. You have to be an example now," one viewer wrote. Another said, "It’s for your health and safety. Totally understand the struggles as I have experienced the same medical conditions as you, however, I have switched to a ketovore diet and am losing my PCOS belly. If you die under anesthesia you leave behind those beautiful babies."
And many others shared positive thoughts on her TikTok video.
"You’re so real for this," one viewer shared. Another said, "You’ve always been so ambitious and determined, it’s so inspiring!"
Kailyn Lowry Said She Wanted To Use Ozempic Earlier This Year
Back in January, Lowry talked about her desire to try Ozempic during an episode of "Baby Mamas No Drama" podcast with fellow baby mama Vee Rivera. Lowry talked about how difficult it is to lose weight as an adult saying she would like to try the type 2 diabetes prescription medication that so many celebrities have.
"How hard it is to lose weight as an adult, f--- my life. I'm scared, "she said not long after giving birth to her twins. "I'm ready for 2024 because I need to get Ozempic shots or something."
And as far as plastic surgery, Lowry isn't new to the idea of having a "mommy makeover," because she's had one in 2016. While she said it was a great decision, she also wishes she would have waited until she was completely done having kids before getting it done.
“Yeah, it was the best decision I ever made. The worst decision I ever made was not waiting until I was done having kids," she said.
"I maintained the f--- out of it until I got pregnant with Lux. I was in the gym five days a week. If you're gonna get plastic surgery, you have to maintain it."
Kailyn Lowry Announced Her Twins' Arrival Earlier This Year
Lowry and her partner Elijah Scott welcomed their twins in late 2023. They didn't share the babies' birthday, but did say their son, Verse, was born at 11:30 p.m. and their daughter, Valley, shortly after at 11:40 p.m.
The mom of 7 shared that this was her first C-section and talked about how scary it was for her. She had a tough time with the medication given and was throwing up during the procedure.
"I thought I was having a hard time breathing. I was very concerned about if I was breathing or not," she shared. "You can't feel yourself throwing up. It's such a weird phenomenon to throw up and not be able to feel any of it."
Lowry also said she doesn't remember too much of what was going on after the babies were born, but she was able to go nose-to-nose with her son briefly before he was put on oxygen and taken to the NICU. She didn't get that same opportunity with her daughter, but she did get to see her briefly before she was also taken to the NICU.
Kailyn Lowry Shared Information About Her Twins' NICU Journey
Verse and Valley spent the first few weeks of their lives in the NICU, which meant Lowry and Scott had to travel back and forth to visit them while still taking care of the other five kids.
The "Teen Mom" alum shared her story with her fans and followers on social media and on her podcast.
"It's really scary. It's really scary, too, because we had to experience the NICU with Rio for a few days, and he was big, like he was 9 pounds. So that was different for us, but he did get to go home shortly thereafter," she said. "But for the twins, it was like, they were a lot smaller, they were five weeks early, and there were two of them, so it was really scary."
Lowry described the NICU as an "emotional roller coaster."
In addition to the twins, Lowry and Scott are also parents to Rio, 1. Lowry is also mom to Isaac, 14, with ex Jo Rivera, Lincoln, 10, with ex Javi Marroquin, Lux, 6, and Creed, 3, with ex Chris Lopez.
