Mark Zuckerberg is making his comeback after suffering a torn ACL during a sparring match in November 2023.

The CEO of Facebook first began Jiu-jitsu during the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown in 2020. After finding this passion, Zuckerberg said Jiu-jitsu has helped boost his energy and focus at work.

He previously said he trains in Jiu-jitsu and MMA three to four times a week.

Before tearing his ACL, Zuck competed at the BJJ Tour competition, where won the gold medal in the Nogi Master 1 White Belt Feather Weight Division and the Silver medal in the Gi Master 2 White Belt Feather Weight Division.

“Competed in my first Jiu-jitsu tournament and won some medals for the Guerrilla Jiu-jitsu team,” Zuckerberg posted on Facebook at the time.

But fighting was put on hold in November 2023, when Zuckerberg shared a photo of himself post-surgery from a hospital bed, sharing, "Tore my ACL sparring and just got out of surgery to replace it."

He continued, "Grateful for the doctors and team taking care of me. I was training for a competitive MMA fight early next year, but now that's delayed a bit. Still looking forward to doing it after I recover. Thanks to everyone for the love and support."

Now, five months after his surgery, he is back in the gym and training once again.

On Friday, April 6, Zuckerberg became the third-richest person on the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, surpassing Elon Musk.

Zuckerberg's reported net worth of $187 billion marks the Facebook CEO's first time in the top three since 2020, per Fortune. On the other hand, the Tesla CEO fell to fourth place with a fortune of $181 billion.

According to their report, Musk’s wealth decreased by $48.4 billion this year, while Zuckerberg has added $58.9 billion to his fortune as Meta Platforms Inc. climbs.

Musk’s net worth could take a further hit after a Delaware judge struck down his $55 billion Tesla pay package.

Of course, this is a matchup that everyone has been following ever since 2016 when SpaceX destroyed a Facebook satellite. In 2023, Musk then challenged Zuckerberg to a cage fight.

After Musk called Zuck out on a cage fight, everyone couldn't wait to see the CEOs of Meta and X battle it out.

Unfortunately, Zuckerberg said that Musk is not taking it seriously, so the fight probably won't happen. “I think we can all agree Elon isn’t serious, and it’s time to move on,” he wrote before adding, “I offered a real date. Dana White offered to make this a legit competition for charity. Elon won’t confirm a date, then says he needs surgery, and now asks to do a practice round in my backyard instead.”

At this time, it is unclear who Zuckerberg's next opponent or fight will be.
