Kate Beckinsale Reveals She's Been Hospitalized With Tearful Photos Of Herself In A Hospital

Kate Beckinsale revealed she was hospitalized by sharing photos of herself from the hospital along with snaps of her mother and her dogs.

The actress also took the opportunity to celebrate Mother's Day by thanking her mother for always being by her side. Following the surprising news, Beckinsale's concerned fans quickly flooded her post with well wishes.

In a Mother's Day tribute post on her Instagram page, Beckinsale shared a carousel of photos of herself hospitalized, her mother, Judy Loe, and her dogs playing.

In the caption, she thanked her mother for her support during tough times, writing: "Happy birthday and UK Mother's Day this last week to my incredible mother. Thank you to those that love us and support us when it's s--- and try to make sure there are some bits that aren't."

The "Pearl Harbor" actress continued: "And for looking after our dogs when we can't, and lead us to remember happy things when we can't. And turn up when we are sick and sit with us.. And send balloons and check in and pull us out of wells with love."

She also thanked loved ones for their care, adding: "Thank you for loving us, those who do, and for the amazing, kindest Nick, and especially for my mother's capacity for joy. It is so inspiring and beautiful. Happy everything mama. Your fight for joy despite also welcoming tears is the experience of watching a warrior up close. I love you x."

Although Beckinsale did not provide further details of her hospitalization, concerned fans flooded her comment section with well wishes.

"Are you Ok? why are you in the hospital? Please get well soon," one individual quizzed.

"Sending love to you, hope you will get well soon. I miss your posts and jokes every day," another added. "You're going to get through this and in between the happy and sad, it's okay to get angry and scream "What the f---!" A third fan encouraged her.

Others wished the "Underworld" actress a Happy Mother's Day, writing: "Happy Mother's Day to your mum and to you, Kate, because you are also blatantly a bloody good mum!!!"

"Happiest birthday to your mom, Ms. Judy and happy Mother's Day too! You both are a beacon of light and everytime I see you both enjoy each other's company as mom and daughter, I always thought I should have spent more time with my mom or that I wish she's still here," a second fan added.

Last year, a source revealed to the Daily Mail how Beckinsale devotedly cared for her mother and late stepfather, Roy Battersby, who had "serious illnesses" at the time.

"She brought them to her home in LA and has made looking after them her number one priority," the insider added.

However, Battersby passed away from stroke and cancer on January 10 at 87, and Beckinsale has grappled with grief ever since, and the emotional toll has been evident.

The insider revealed that the "Snow Angels" star was "spotted this week several times crying in the corridors of UCLA hospital" and that her "friends are very concerned that she has been under relentless strain for months and hardly sleeping or eating."

The source added: "Kate appears to be very strong but this has been incredibly hard and, given that she lost her father so young, is affecting her very deeply."

"Her friends are concerned for her own health," the insider added.

Meanwhile, a second source explained that her mother, Loe, has chosen to keep her health battle private, noting: "She's extraordinary, you wouldn't even know by looking at her. She has been keeping a very positive attitude throughout everything."

Last month, Beckinsale revealed details about her stepfather Battersby's cremation, which took place on February 19 at Mortlake Crematorium in west London.

Sharing a picture of the order of service, she expressed gratitude to family and friends for their support and participation in honoring Battersby's memory.

"We wish to thank you, our family and friends, for your loving support and being with us today to honour and commemorate Roy," the actress wrote.

The document included a heartfelt message inviting attendees to celebrate Battersby's life and share cherished memories together, adding: "Please join us afterwards to celebrate him and his life, share memories and stories, and inevitably miss him, knowing how much he would enjoy such a get-together."
