John Cena took the stage at the 2024 Oscars to present an award.... completely naked.
It all started when Jimmy Kimmelbrought up the streaker incident that occurred at the 46th Academy Awards in 1974. He then thought it would be funny if they had their very own streaker run across the stage at the 96th Oscars, however, it did not go exactly as planned...

After a commercial break, Jimmy Kimmel showed the streaker incident from 1974, before trying to go into his very own streaker bit. That is when he delivered his line - "Could you imagine a naked man running across the stage tonight?"
Shortly after, fans noticed John Cena's head pop out from behind the stage prop, asking Jimmy to come over to him (he was obviously bare-skinned.) That is when the WWE star informed Kimmel he no longer wanted to do the streaker bit because "the male body is not a joke."
After going back and forth, John Cena did not give in, and so Jimmy asked the wrestler to walk out on stage and present the award, even though he did not have any clothes on.
So, that is when the audience and viewers at home saw all of John Cena -- and we mean ALL.

John covered up his private area with the envelope that Jimmy handed him, but his abs, muscles, and everything else was on full display for everyone to see.
He slowly shuffled to center stage where a microphone was waiting for him as he went on to present the Best Costume Design award -- how ironic. “Costumes are…so important," he was heard saying as he bared it all.
Kimmel later gave John Cena a Roman times-looking robe to allow him to cover himself up.
Fans and viewers everywhere could not get enough of the stunt, as one social media user wrote, "John Cena introducing 'best costume design' NAKED at the Oscars."

A behind-the-scenes clip was shared to X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, showing the quick costume change John Cena went through as the nominees were read off.
"Here’s how John Cena went from fully naked (!!!) to partially clothed while costume design nominees reel played. Jimmy Kimmel really did help," one social media user wrote alongside a BTS clip.
The John Cena streaker bit was arguably the best aspect of the Oscars thus far, as fans made it known they were not happy with Jimmy Kimmel's opening monologue, so it's nice to see John Cena's bare bum turned things around.
Jimmy Kimmel Opens The Show By Addressing Greta Gerwig Oscars Snub

"Now Barbie is a feminist icon thanks to Greta Gerwig, who many believed deserved to be nominated for Best Director."
A handful of awards have been announced thus far, including Best Actress in a Supporting Role which went to Da’Vine Joy Randolph for her role in “The Holdovers."
