Hip-hop icon Snoop Dogg has lost another treasured member of his family — his brother Bing Worthington.

The “Drop It Like It's Hot” rapper confirmed the heartbreaking news with a series of social media posts, reflecting on some of his shared memories with the deceased. Worthington died at 44, three years after the duo's mother passed away from undisclosed health struggles.

While the week typically ends with people screaming TGIF, for Snoop, it wasn't a cause for celebration but mourning. He announced his brother's death on Instagram, with his first post capturing the pair posing in a dressing room.

The rapper didn't express his grief with words but used a series of emojis to explain the situation to fans. He also shared a picture of Worthington posing with a cake beside their late mother, Beverly Tate. “bac wit momma,” he captioned the post, adding more emojis.

Words weren't needed to show Snoop's heartbreak, and his message got across to his followers. Fans and celebrities sent their condolences, with actor Tyrese Gibson writing: “Stay strong big bro…. I'm sorry this happened…. Prayers, love, and light to you and your family….”

Betty Wright's daughter, Aisha McCray, echoed similar sentiments, noting: “I'm so sorry. She always spoke so highly of her boys. May they both rest peacefully ❤.” The singer Tamar Braxton shared: “💔💔💔 sorry for all your loss brother.”

One fan penned: “I'm very sorry for the loss of your brother. He has been reunited in heaven with your mom. My sincere condolences to you and your family.” Another sympathizer added: “D— this took my heart right outta my chest Cuzzo!! They both up there smiling down at all of us. As stated, Worthington's death comes three years after Snoop's mother passed away from undisclosed health issues in October 2021 and was buried the following month. The "Drop It Like It's Hot" rapper shared pictures from the funeral service on Instagram, showing his loved ones decked in all-red ensembles to celebrate Beverly's life.

The legendary rapper held a graveside memorial for his mother in Inglewood, California, with some of the images capturing him holding his two brothers.“Mamas boys 🌹🙏🏾🕊 🩸 Brothers 👊🏾,” Snoop captioned the photo dump.

Another set of pictures showed the crowd gathered to lay Beverly to rest alongside the simple caption, “Thank u mama.” Before her death, the entertainer kept fans updated about her struggles inside the hospital.

One of his updates was a picture of the family by Beverly's side with the message: “Happy Sunday. Me and my brothers went to see mama today, and she opened her eyes to see us and let us know she still fighting.”

Although he did not share what medical condition his mother was struggling with, his update seemed to imply that she was fighting in and out of consciousness. Unfortunately, Beverly lost the battle after a three-month-long struggle at the hospital.

Snoop announced her passing at 70 in an emotional post, with an image of him embracing his mother and the caption: Mama, thank u for having me. Thank u, God, for giving me an angel for a mother.”

Weeks before losing his brother, the “What's My Name?” rapper made headlines for his legal battle with Walmart. He sued the famous retail chain for allegedly sabotaging the sale of his “Snoop Cereal” brand, claims the other party vehemently refuted.

Last week, a rep for Walmart denied the allegations in a statement, claiming: “Walmart values our relationships with our suppliers, and we have a strong history of supporting entrepreneurs. Many factors affect the sales of any given product, including consumer demand, seasonality, and price, to name a few.”

Walmart promised to respond “as appropriate with the Court” once served with the complaint. Meanwhile, Snoop's attorney, Ben Crump, revealed they are planning a lawsuit against the retail corporation and Post Foods for negatively affecting the rapper's sales.

Crump claimed Walmart allegedly prevented “Snoop Cereal” from being placed on store shelves, while Post Foods used “deceptive practices” to sabotage his client's cereal brand. The lawsuit is a joint effort between Snoop and Master P, the co-founders of Broadus Foods.

They launched their production company in 2022, and it is the home of Snoop Cereal and Momma Snoop. The cereal premiered last summer with several flavors, including Cinnamon Toasteez, Fruity Hoopz with Marshmallows, and Frosted Drizzlers.
