Four months ago, Bill Skarsgard was arrested for possession of 2.43 grams of cannabis at Arlanda Airport in Stockholm.

However, the news has only just spread online because he was convicted and sentenced on Wednesday after pleading guilty to the possession charges.

The 33-year-old "It" actor pled guilty in the paperwork he submitted to the court, which the judge used to decide on his sentence. Bill was able to avoid jail time or probation and was instead sentenced to pay a four-figure fine.

According to a report, the fine is 40,000 Swedish krona, which is approximately $3,821 when converted to US Dollars. Compared to his massive net worth, the fine is a minor sentence, as once he pays, the marijuana possession drama will be behind him.

The actor is the lead in the upcoming film, "Boy Kills World," which was recently acquired by Lionsgate and Roadside Attractions, per Deadline.

In the film, Skarsgard plays the role of Boy, a deaf-mute who has a vivid imagination and an inner voice that he adopted from his favorite video game as a child. Boy vows to get revenge against Hilda Van Der Koy (Famke Janssen), the insane matriarch of a corrupt post-apocalyptic dynasty that murdered his family and left him voiceless, deaf, and orphaned.

Roadside Attractions Co-Presidents Howard Cohen and Eric d'Arbeloff gushed about the film, noting that they were "blown away by the crazy action sequences and the terrific cast."

Lauren Bixby of Lionsgate also praised the film, saying: "From the opening frames, 'Boy Kills World' catapulted the Lionsgate team into a completely bonkers world masterfully created by Sam Raimi, Roy Lee, Bill Skarsgård and the incredibly dynamic cast and crew."
