Travis Kelce Makes Fun Of Patrick Mahomes For Underwear Superstition [VIDEO]

Travis Kelce is poking fun at his close friend and teammate Patrick Mahomes ahead of the Super Bowlon February 11, 2024.

The Kansas City Chiefs are prepping for the biggest game of the season as they are set to take on the San Francisco 49ers during Super Bowl LVIII.

As the game is just days away, the team has been meeting with the press and reporters, including Travis Kelce who just took a dig at his quarterback for recently airing his dirty laundry.

Last year, when on Peyton and Eli’s 'Manningcast' show during a Monday Night Football game, Patrick Mahomes admitted that he has a special pair of red undies that he has been wearing for over 100 games.

"I don't think I'm superstitious, I like to live my life a certain way in hopes that I get things to happen to me," Travis said during the press conference, before going on to poke fun at his teammate and close friend, Patrick Mahomes.

"I'm not wearing the same underwear every single game or anything like that," he said, referencing Patrick's odd-game ritual.

Travis was obviously taking a jab at his teammate, who is also one of his best friends.

Patrick tried to defend his superstition by telling fans that his wife got them for him, but then he went on to admit he doesn't wash the pair that often...

“First, my wife Brittany got them for me. So I’m not throwing y’all down, but I have to wear them,” Mahomes said while on the MNF broadcast. “At the same time, I threw them on that first season, we had a pretty good season that season. I only wear ’em for game day though so they’re not too worn down.”

“As long as I’m winning football games, I’ll keep the superstition going,” Mahomes added -- which, is fair, we guess...

Engagement rumors have been circling, as many are convinced that Travis Kelce and Taylor Swiftwill take the next step in their relationship at the Super Bowl. Sports betting sites are even trying to cash in on the couple’s possible engagement However, Travis may have just changed those betting odds, as he says is focused on one ring and one ring only.

“I’m focused on getting this ring,” he told reporters at a recent press conference, referencing the Super Bowl ring — not an engagement ring. “That’s all my mind is focused on right now.”

Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs will take on the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, February 11 for Super Bowl LVII.

The big game will take place in Las Vegas and will be aired on CBS.
