Patrick Mahomes Airs Out Dirty Laundry: Admits A Filthy NFL Gameday Ritual

NFL quarterback Patrick Mahomeshas a dirty secret! He is admitting to wearing the same pair of underwear in every NFL game, though he did say he washes them "sometimes."

On Peyton and Eli's "Manningcast" show during Monday Night Football, the quarterback confirmed the rumors that he has a special pair of red undies that he has been wearing for over 100 games.

Patrick Mahomes is airing his dirty laundry as he admits to his dirty NFL ritual -- wearing the same exact pair of underwear in every NFL game.

"First, my wife Brittany got them for me. So I'm not throwing y'all down, but I have to wear them," Mahomes said while on the MNF broadcast. "At the same time, I threw them on that first season, we had a pretty good season that season. I only wear 'em for game day though so they're not too worn down."

It seems as though his lucky drawers work as the Chiefs were 12-4 in 2018, and Mahomes was the league MVP at just 23 years old. The Chiefs have gone on to win 2 Super Bowls since.

But where does the dirty part of the ritual come in? Well, Mahomes admits to only washing that lucky pair of underwear on occasion. "I wash 'em every once in a while at least," Mahomes admitted. "If we're on a hot streak I can't wash 'em. I gotta keep it rollin'."

"As long as I'm winning football games, I'll keep the superstition going," Mahomes added.

Patrick Mahomes recently posed for a family photo alongside his wife, Brittany Mahomes, and their children as they all sported SKIMS, the brand founded by reality television star Kim Kardashian.

When speaking about their new partnership with SKIMS in a recent press release, the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback, “This is our first campaign as a family, and shooting for SKIMS all together was an awesome moment.”

The two-time NFL MVP continued, “I’m all about comfort and these sets will be my go-to at home all season.”

Brittany Mahomes also spoke out on their new partnership with the company, stating, “We loved shooting for SKIMS as a family and had the best time on set. The matching sets and prints are so adorable and cozy. SKIMS will be a staple for our entire family for the holidays and beyond.”
