Britney Spears Claims She Made Out With Ben Affleck 'Years Ago'

Pop star Britney Spears is opening up about a kiss that did not seem to make it into her memoir, "The Woman In Me," which was released last October.

Although the "Toxic" singer is closer than ever to finalizing her divorce from actor Sam Asghari, she took to Instagram on Wednesday to admit that she once made out with another actor... Ben Affleck!

Britney Spears and Sam Asghari met on the set of her "Slumber Party" music video in 2016. The two became engaged in September 2021, only two months before her controversial 13-year conservatorship ended in November 2021. The two tied the knot in June 2022, but in August 2023, the "Special Ops: Lioness" actor filed for divorce, citing "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the split.

As the two continue to navigate their divorce, it looks like the "Oops!... I Did It Again" singer has been reflecting on her former flames. On Wednesday afternoon, the 42-year-old pop star took to Instagram to share a black and white photo of her posing beside singer Diane Warren and actor Ben Affleck at a party.

“Cool pic of me and Ben Affleck and Diane Warren years ago ?? !!! He’s such an amazing actor. Did I fail to mention I made out with Ben that night … I honestly forgot ... d--- that’s crazy !!! Wish I could tell you guys the story that happened before that !!! Oh dear, I’m just being a gossip girl ?? !!! Psss I actually forgot ????? !!!" she wrote in the caption.

The "Crossroads" actress later followed it up with another Instagram post with a caption that read, “Is it a crime to be a woman in this world ??? No wonder I was never invited !!! Playing me for a fool … no thank you ??‍♀️ !!! It’s been a while so forgive me in advance !!!”

It is worth noting that the 51-year-old actor has not responded to Britney’s claim. The “Deep Water” actor has been married to Jennifer Lopez since 2022. He had previously been married to actress Jennifer Garner from 2005 to 2018.

In August 2023, the "Girl In The Mirror" singer broke her silence on the divorce in the caption of a video she posted to Instagram that featured her dancing in her living room. “As everyone knows, Hesam and I are no longer together … 6 years is a long time to be with someone so, I’m a little shocked but … I’m not here to explain why because its honestly nobody’s business !!!" she wrote at the time. "But, I couldn’t take the pain anymore honestly !!! In some sort of telepathic way I have been receiving so many messages that melt my heart from friends and I thank you !!!"

"I’ve been playing it strong for way too long and my Instagram may seem perfect but it’s far from reality and I think we all know that !!! I would love to show my emotions and tears on how I really feel but some reason I’ve always had to hide my weaknesses !!!" she continued. "If I wasn’t my dad’s strong soldier, I would be sent away to places to get fixed by doctors !!! But that’s when I needed family the most !!! You’re supposed to be loved unconditionally … not under conditions !!!! So I will be as strong as I can and do my best !!! And I’m actually doing pretty d— good !!! Anyways have a good day and don’t forget to smile !!!”

In his own statement, Sam took to his Instagram Stories to ask the media to be "kind and thoughtful" as the two parted ways. “After 6 years of love and commitment to each other my wife and I have decided to end our journey together,” he wrote. “We will hold onto the love and respect we have for each other and I wish her the best always. S— happens. Asking for privacy seems [ridiculous] so I will just ask for everyone including media to be kind and thoughtful.”

On February 1, Sam Asghari handed over financial statements and other documents to speed up the divorce process. The filing, known as a declaration of disclosure, is the final step before settling a divorce. Some of the documents that Sam handed over included a list of assets, as well as separate and community properties.

As The Blast previously reported, although Britney had previously been paying the rent on Sam's luxury high-rise apartment in Los Angeles, it looks like that is no longer the case as the two take one step closer to being declared legally single.
