Kate Middleton is finally back home following her abdominal surgery.

After 13 days in the hospital, the Princess of Wales has been discharged without issues, according to a new health update from the Palace. She will continue to prioritize resting amid her suspended royal duties while getting nurtured back to 100% by her doting husband, Prince William.

Kate Middleton 'Is Making Good Progress' In Her Recovery

The Kensington Palace celebrated Middleton's return to the Windsor mansion in a sweet statement on Monday, January 29. They assured fans the senior royal was well on the road to recovery but remained elusive about the cause of her abdominal surgery. In their words:

"The Princess of Wales has returned home to Windsor to continue her recovery from surgery. She is making good progress. The Prince and Princess wish to say a huge thank you to the entire team at The London Clinic, especially the dedicated nursing staff, for the care they have provided."

"The Wales family continues to be grateful for the well wishes they have received from around the world," the Palace concluded. As Middleton recovers, Prince William is expected to undertake the supportive husband role per the touching narrative shared by sources.

According to PEOPLE, Prince William postponed his public duties to cater to his wife's needs and that of their three children — Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. He did not participate in any official duties while Middleton was hospitalized and is predicted to remain unbooked during the early days of her home recovery. Talk about a Prince Charming!

As for Middleton's health, an insider close to the royal household revealed her condition sounded severe, but they expected her to recover without issues. In their words:

"It does sound serious with the length of time [she's taking]. But she is in great hands and will have lots of care and support at home and is a fit young woman. I am sure she will bounce back."

The source also noted that Middleton's situation was a learning moment for others, stressing that people should prioritize rest instead of jumping back into work.

"That is a great example to the rest of us, as you're often told to get back to work as soon as possible, which can be damaging. It is good for all of us to see her taking the time, recovering properly, and then coming back," the informant declared. "We can all learn from that."

The Princess of Wales sparked concerns about her health just days earlier when the Palace revealed she had undergone an abdominal surgery. Although they noted the operation was successful, Middleton needed to be hospitalized after the procedure.

"The surgery was successful, and it is expected that she will remain in hospital for ten to fourteen days before returning home to continue her recovery," Kensington Palace explained in a statement.

"Based on the current medical advice, she is unlikely to return to public duties until after Easter," they continued before sharing Middleton's feelings about publicizing her medical status. The message read:

"The Princess of Wales appreciates the interest this statement will generate. She hopes that the public will understand her desire to maintain as much normality for her children as possible and her wish that her personal medical information remains private."

"Kensington Palace will, therefore, only provide updates on Her Royal Highness' progress when there is significant new information to share," the statement added, noting Middleton's remorse over her postponed duties and upcoming events.
