Randy Bick, Kathy Griffin's estranged husband, is reportedly distressed over the comedian's decision to end their marriage.
As we reported, Griffin filed for divorce in December, citing "irreconcilable differences" with the marketing executive. She also asked the court to enforce the prenuptial agreement they signed back in 2019 to prevent anyone from requesting spousal support.
Randy Bick Is 'Devastated' And 'Alone'
According to a new report, Bick has been emotionally distressed since his estranged wife, Griffin, filed for divorce.
After nearly ten years of dating, the couple exchanged vows in 2020, overcoming an initial breakup and reconciliation. However, this recent separation seems permanent, seemingly worsened by the fact that the two did not share any children.
Neither of them has talked openly about the breakup in public, but sources close to Bick say that the divorce, which is yet to be finalized, has shaken up the 45-year-old's life.
"Randy didn't just lose his wife, he lost his job when Kathy filed for divorce," a source told the National Enquirer, referencing Bick's former role as Griffin's tour manager. "He is devastated, alone and unemployed. She was his entire world."
The insider also added that Bick might have no choice but to make money from writing a bombshell tell-all about his relationship with the comedian and other juicy secrets about her life.
Kathy Griffin & Randy Bick Split Over 'Irreconcilable Differences'
On December 28, Griffin filed divorce documents in the Los Angeles Superior Court to end her marriage to Bick.
The documents obtained by The Blast revealed that the actual date of separation was December 22, 2023, just over a week before their fourth wedding anniversary. The cause of Griffin and Bick's separation was listed as "irreconcilable differences," which still leaves the actual reason behind it all unclear.
As part of the filing, Giffin requested that the court enforce the prenup she and Bick signed on December 23, 2019. If this goes through, it would prevent either party from receiving financial support when the divorce is finalized.
Later on, Griffin took to Twitter to seemingly announce her split from the marketing executive, making a post that read, "Well…s---. This sucks."
Kathy Griffin & Randy Bick Had An Initial Split
Back in November 2018, Griffin and Bick split up for the first time, with the comedian telling her social media fans that the split was amicable.
"God help me, but I'm gonna be one of those people who announces a breakup. After 7 years, Randy and I have decided to part ways. It's not acrimonious, and I will always adore him," Griffin wrote on Twitter at the time.
Just a few months later, the duo informed fans they had reunited, sharing a picture of themselves on Instagram with the caption, "Yup. Back together."
Then, in an interview with ET, she claimed that the split was just "a little break" and that they decided to "fight for it and make it work."
She added. "We just came to the decision that we've really been through so much together. We both turned to each other and realized this is the longest relationship for both of us, you know?"
Kathy Griffin Is Gearing Up To Go On Tour
In the meantime, Griffin isn't letting her divorce get in the way of her career.
The comedian is set to begin her "My Life on the PTSD List" tour, kicking off in Des Moines, Iowa, on February 2 and then moving to Omaha, Nebraska, the next day. Performances in Canada, Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, Michigan, Missouri, and Texas are also on the list. Griffin will then wrap up the tour in California in June.
The upcoming tour is the second major US tour for Griffin following the negative traction she garnered from the entertainment industry for her trolling of former President Donald Trump in May 2017.
Besides being known for making controversial statements and acts, Griffin has also built a reputation with 20 comedy specials released since 1996. She also received two Primetime Emmy Awards in 2007 and 2008 for her Bravo reality show, "My Life on the D List," along with a 2013 Grammy Award for her comedy album, "Calm Down Gurrl."
