Julianne Hough Chops Off Inches Of Her Hair: See The New Look

'Dancing With the Stars' host Julianne Hough is going "out with the old and in with the new" as she just chopped off inches of her hair.

The 35-year-old has debuted her new look in a recent Instagram video, which shows her with a pair of scissors in a hair salon, taking things into her own hands as she said goodbye to her long blonde locks.

"Out with the old energy, and in with the new," she wrote in the caption of the Instagram video.

The professional dancer went on to explain how this decision came to be, describing it as a "funny day."

Although "it was raining so hard," Hough says, "the sun was shining and there was a double rainbow."

The 'Dancing With the Stars' host went on to explain that "it made me start to think about the seasons of life, and the decisions we make as we progress."

And that is what led her to the decision to chop off inches of her hair. "Hair is such an outward expression of what those decisions are… of the internal journeys that we go through," Hough explained in her Instagram caption, adding, "The idea of the rain pouring, which could’ve been a melancholy day, but the sun was shining so bright that it almost felt like a cleansing. (I know, I know, but seriously!)."

"Plus a double rainbow to show a sign of prosperity and all the life that is to come. It just felt like it was the right time to cut off some of the old energy and start fresh," Hough concluded.

Julianne Hough took a pair of scissors and began to cut off inches of her hair in the new video she shared to Instagram. With her New Year New Look, she looks as confident as can be, and it seems her fans and followers are huge fans as well.

"You’re so right... I got my cut just before Christmas - bye almost 6 inches, and I got bangs for the first time in years! I love it," one of her followers commented.

"[I'm] inspired to do this! I hate spending $80 on a five min trim!" another wrote.

Another fan chimed in with, "I did the same thing. Cut inches off my hair the other day. Well, my hair girl did the cutting. I love what you say about getting rid of old energy and bringing new energy in. Agree!"

As one follower pointed out, "Now everyone is going to think they can cut their own hair and look like you."
