Katharine McPhee And David Foster's 2-Year-Old Is A Rock Star In The Making

The apple certainly didn't fall far from the tree! Rennie Foster seemed to inherit his parent's amazing musical talents and, at just 2 years old, he's showing everyone what he's got!

Katharine McPhee and David Foster's son is wowing the internet with his amazing drumming skills. Both McPhee and Foster shared a video of Rennie jamming out on the drums to Michael Jackson's hit "Rock With You."

A video recently shared by McPhee on TikTok and Foster on Instagram is getting tons of positive attention. The video shows their 2-year-old son Rennie playing the drums like an absolute pro! It's almost easy to forget he's only 2 when watching him play his drum set while proud Papa Foster watches.

McPhee's TikTok video has been viewed nearly 20 million times and has more than 23,000 comments in just one day!

"When you've got David Foster and Katherine McPhee as parents, you know this will be a gifted child," one viewer pointed out.

Another viewer said something similar, "As soon as I saw David Foster I was like 'Oh, that makes sense' and then I saw Katherine McPhee posting and I was like 'This is all coming together.'"

One viewer shared, "How sweet! Mine ate crayons until he was 5. Bless em," and McPhee replied, "So cute!!"

Another parent added, "My 13-year-old just asked me how to put aluminum foil over a Tupperware container ... I need to go show him this video."

Over on Foster's Instagram post, another 20,000-plus comments were left for Rennie's amazing drum performance.

Nick Cannon simply wrote, "??????," and singer Nicole Scherzinger wrote, "I. Can’t. Even. O. M. G!!!!!" Derek Hough popped into the comments to say, "Excuse me."

Actress and singer Kristin Chenoweth said, "I still can’t believe him!"

Another viewer pointed out, "There’s something about this video. Not only is this child unbelievably talented but you can see he has his dad’s undivided attention and you can see he is loved and also the toys scattered around I’m happy to see he is also still treated like a regular child. I love this video."

A few months ago, Foster shared a video on his Instagram page showing Rennie playing the drums captioned, "Progress-time for some lessons I think."

One viewer asked about the duct tape on the cymbal, "12345 This child is everything. Is that duct tape on his little cymbal?" to which McPhee jumped in to respond saying, "Yes it is- otherwise it’s too loud for us merely trying to exist!"

So it seems like Rennie's big passion is playing the drums and at just 2 and being so talented already, we all need to remember his name!

One person suggested holding off on lessons just yet. "I don't know about lessons yet. He has an interesting style for syncopation and his own rhythm. Let him continue to discover and then do lessons."

Another person said yes to lessons, but not the way most would have thought. "Yes, lessons! You do mean he will be TEACHING those lessons, don’t you? Sign me up to take lessons! Lol! He’s amazing!"

Another video shared by Foster on his Instagram page a few months prior also shows little Rennie's progress on the drums.

At the time of that video, Rennie was just 2 years and three months old.
