Many people thought they'd start 2024 off with silence and peace, but Katt Williams clearly took another direction just a few days into the new year.
During a recent interview on Shannon Sharpe's podcast, "Club Shay Shay," the comedian and actor spilled more than just piping hot tea and the fans are here for every single moment of it.
Katt Williams Had A Lot To Reveal During A Recent Episode Of "Club Shay Shay" Podcast
The comedian known for his comedy as well as his acting roles in movies, such as "Friday After Next" and "School Dance," recently sat down with Sharpe to hash out anything and everything on his mind. The interview was a bit longer than most, clocking in at 2 hours and 46 minutes, and was appropriately titled, "Katt Williams Unleashed" because that's just what Williams did - UNLEASH!
Where do we start? Well, first off, the fans LOVED this interview. Every clip shared on Club Shay Shay's TikTok page has received millions of views and thousands upon thousands of comments.
Comments like, "Protect Katt at all cost!!! Seriously," "Katt said in 2024 nobody safe and I mean nobody," "This is the year of Katt Williams," and "He speaks so confidently and unbiased. He's simply speaking his truth," fill the comment sections of each clip.
So let's dive in...
Katt Williams Said Kevin Hart Is A "Plant"
Williams had some things to say about comedian and actor Kevin Hart, and he didn't hold back one bit.
"For a five-year period, every single movie that Kevin Hart did was a movie that had been on my desk that all I had said was just can we take some of this step and fetch it s--- out?" he said. "And then I can do it like, it don't need to be overtly homosexual cause I'm not homosexual. Right, it doesn't need that to be funny, right? And me saying that and them going, oh yeah, no problem, and then going to give it to this other guy and having him do it just like it was and acting like I'm a bad person because I keep standing on my standard."
He then continued by alluding to the fact that Hart is an industry "plant."
"He already had his deals when he got here. Have we heard of a comedian that came to L.A. and in his first year in L.A. he had his own sitcom on network television and had his own movie called 'Soul Plane' that he was leading?" he asked Sharpe. "No, we've never heard of that before that person or since that person. What do you think a plant is? Maybe people don't understand the definition of these words."
Williams then discussed "gatekeepers" and how everyone's told there are none, but "we keep seeing the same people open the gate." He also said no one has ever seen him and Hart in the same building at the same time in 25 years. If Williams walks into the building, Hart walks out, he said.
Fans are loving all the information Williams was sharing.
"Katt Williams seems so genuine in this interview. He's not bitter to me, he just wants folks to know that he stands on his standards! Period!" one person wrote. Another added, "Best interview of 2024 I don’t care what interviews come after this ."
Katt Williams Defended Ice Cube About "Friday" Actor's Pay
While Williams threw lots of people under the bus while he was spitting his truths, he also stuck up for who and what he felt was right. One topic that entered the chat was "ungrateful" actors complaining about Ice Cube's payment in the movie "Friday."
"The independent black dude who's filming it partly out of his f------ pocket? What you mean he didn't pay you enough?" he said. "They weirdos. Weirdos that felt like they earned the opportunity because they were big."
Sharpe then asked if he would be willing to do another "Friday" and he said that "Cube already asked me to write it." And then he dropped a little bomb about actor Chris Tucker that it seemed no one was quite prepared for.
"I was supposed to have been writing it," he said. "This is what these guys are mad about. Like, we lost some great people before this movie could come out, regardless, and so yes, there desperately needs to be one. But we miss John Witherspoon in a way that can't really be quantified, if I'm being honest with you. And the Chris Tucker that we got now is Epstein Island Chris Tucker, not Smokey."
Sharpe's only reaction at that point was a very clear, "Oh Lord." Fans were not exactly ready for the "Epstein Island Chris Tucker" comment either.
"I dropped my phone at the 'Epstein island Chris Tucker…'," one fan wrote. Another said, "That 'Oh lord' after the Chris Tucker line was LOUD."
Katt Williams Talked About Ludacris And The Illuminati
And then Williams discussed rapper Ludacris. Sharpe asked if the two were related and Williams immediately went into uncovering some backstory.
"No. So there was a crossroads where we were both invited to an Illuminati thing and it had to be one or the other of us," Williams said after being asked if he's related to Ludacris.
"And decisions had to be made so it was both of us, we were equal, one of us had to cut off all their hair and couldn't do the sideburn thing no more with the points. And the next person they said was going to get $200 million because they were gonna pay him 10 million a movie to do 20 movies. And that's how the conversation happened. One of those persons turned out to be Ludacris and the other person turned out to be Katt Williams."
He then pointed out that "Fast and Furious" is on its 10th movie currently.
"I’ve never heard an interview where there were sooo many rabbit holes. Multiverse of info," one viewer pointed out. Another added, "We need to protect Katt! He’s got too much KNOWLEDGE."
