Cardi B and her estranged husband, Offset, have been hit with a lawsuit for allegedly trashing their rental home in Los Angeles.

According to legal documents obtained by The Blast, the property's owner claims the famous couple left colored paint on the white leather couches and burn marks on tables and other furniture.

The couple, who are currently going through a rough patch in their relationship, are also being accused of not paying their rent and utility bills for the period they stayed in the home. The lawsuit says the pair owe $85,000 in damages.

The legal filing says Cardi B and Offset, real names Belcalis Marlenis Almanzar and Kiari Kendrell Cephus, destroyed the L.A. rental home after living in it for almost two years. The pair are being sued for damages and unpaid rent.

"Almanzar and Cephus, as well as their family, lived in the property for approximately 20 months, vacating the home without notice in October 2023. [They] failed to pay rent and utilities for a period of time," the court document reads.

It further states that "After [Cardi B and Offset] vacated the home, [the owner] discovered significant property damage, including permanent stains and scratches to the limestone tile floors, rugs, and curtains; colored paint on the white leather couches and dining room leather brown chairs; burn marks on tables, counters, couches, chairs, and cabinets; broken furniture; broken speakers; and excessive holes and marks on the walls."

The company, Rapkin and Associates, is now suing the pair for damages, claiming that it could cost up to $85,000 to fix what was allegedly destroyed during the couple's stay at the rental home.

The suit also notes that they have tried to resolve the matter with Cardi and Offset, but the couple has "ignored" the house owner, leaving them no choice but to sue.

The last time I got on Live, I kind of wanted to tell you guys, but I didn't know how to tell you, so I changed my mind. But it has been like this for a minute now. I just took it as a sign."

The Grammy Award winner added, "I wanna start 2024, like, fresh, open... I don't know. I'm curious for a new life, for a new beginning. And yeah, I'm excited."
