Serena Williams is doing her best to make the holiday season as smooth as possible for nursing mothers and families.
On Wednesday, the former tennis player announced that she donated surplus breast milk leftover from a recent trip to New York. Her many fans applauded The kind-hearted move, with some dubbing her milk the "G.O.A.T milk."
Serena Williams Earns More Respect From Social Media Citizens For Donating Breast Milk
It is no longer news that Williams uses whatever opportunity she can to help those in need. Her latest act of selflessness came when she decided to donate a handful of expressed breast milk anonymously.
In the announcement video, the athlete's voice is heard off-camera as she opens a freezer, revealing multiple packets of breast milk. Williams expressed her enthusiasm about donating breast milk, stating she was "really excited" to contribute to those in need.
She mentioned that the donation would be anonymous, concluding with, "but super excited to just help in some way." In the caption of the reel, the mother-of-two penned:
"After going through a screening I was able to donate it instead of taking the milk home. I know so many amazing women that adopt or are unable to make milk. It felt amazing. BTW Someone out there is getting some super soldier milk. 🤭."
Besides getting liked over 115k times, the Instagram post also got thousands of comments from appreciative fans who could relate to receiving such a gesture.

Another grateful fan disclosed, "As a NICU mom of twins who needed donor milk while waiting for mine to come in, thank you for donating," while a third expressed gratitude for donor milk while recalling the "local donor" that helped them feed their baby during the "incredibly difficult time" of experiencing "extremely painful breastfeeding."
They concluded, "I couldn't have been more grateful. It still makes me tear up all these years later," just as a fourth viewer quipped, "Some kids backhand just got stronger," and a fifth chimed, "That's G.O.A.T. Milk!"
"Women supporting women in the most basic and loving way," a sixth declared, and a seventh added, "Somebody's newborn is about to do handstands in their bassinet!"
The influx of appreciation comes several months after The Blast noted that Williams had followed through on giving her second child with her husband, Alexis Ohanian, a Disney-themed name. The confirmation came when Ohanian took to Instagram shortly after the baby's arrival in August to state:
"Welcome, Adira River Ohanian. I'm grateful to report our house is teaming with love: a happy & healthy newborn girl and happy & healthy mama. Feeling grateful. @serenawilliams you've now given me another incomparable gift — you're the GMOAT. Thanks to all the amazing medical staff who took care of my wife & our daughter 🙏 I'll never forget the moment I introduced @olympiaohanian to her baby sister."
Alexis Ohanian Warmed Thousands Of Hearts For Doubling Down On Paternity Leave
Just like his wife, Ohanian has earned widespread admiration from fans based on his advocacy for paternity leave. The garnered respect was emphasized when the Reddit co-founder shared an image on Instagram featuring himself seated on a couch with his now-four-month-old daughter nestled on his shoulder.
Olympia, his first daughter, sat beside him, placing a hand on his left shoulder as they watched an episode of "Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir" on television. Ohanian captioned the heartwarming picture with "#ParternityLeave."
Even though the post received high praise from many social media users, Ohanian highlighted one remark from someone expressing a desire for their husband to have paternity leave.
The comment, per The Blast, read, "It's a real problem here and one of the many reasons why we need more supportive policies from our employers and government. Companies in America must lead on this if our government won't." The father of two responded:
"He really should. I've been fighting for it for all Americans since Olympia was born, but we've only gotten it for federal employees (so far). All the companies I've founded have had it and I've tried to set an example as a leader in those orgs to show that it's OK for men to take advantage of it – we're capable of showing up for our families AND still being high performers at work."
Upon seeing Ohanian's write-up, another onlooker shared, "Thank you for normalizing paternity leave it is necessary. It's good for the new mom and for the baby too."
