"Euphoria" will never be the same without Angus Cloud stealing viewers' hearts, as Sydney Sweeney and her co-star couldn't agree more!
The late actor took his final breath in July, an event that naturally left his loved ones struggling with grief, and Sweeney was no exception. The actress, who gained worldwide recognition alongside Cloud on the beloved HBO series, recently reflected on the show's future without the deceased entertainer.
Sydney Sweeney & Her 'Euphoria' Co-stars Were Constantly Crying After Angus Cloud's Death
For Sweeney, the months after Cloud's demise have been filled with numerous career opportunities, including her latest movie, "Anyone But You." However, no matter their allure, these gigs could not overshadow the pain of losing a co-star turned friend.
The 26-year-old actress will be forced to address Cloud's absence once she resumes filming for the third season of "Euphoria" in 2024. Although Sweeney is excited to reprise her role of Cassie Howard in the HBO series, she noted it would not be the same without her late co-star.

According to the entertainer, she and her fellow co-stars were shattered by the news of Cloud's accidental drug overdose in July. They could not believe they had lost their friend at the tender age of 25 and mourned his death together, finding comfort in each other. In Sweeney's words:
"[My costars and I] were constantly on the phone with each other crying because it was just such a shock. I don't think it'll truly feel real or hit me until we're filming, and I won't see Angus on set."
"(At least) when we are filming, all of our eyes are on each other, and we're there for each other, just in a different way than we're able to when we're all in very separate places in the world," Sweeney explained in her Glamour cover story. She also noted Cloud's memory will remain alive in the industry thanks to the roles he played, saying:
"It's really interesting when someone passes away in our industry because they're still alive in so many forms."
While filming in Cloud's absence will be a challenging feat for "The White Lotus" actress, working on "Euphoria" might help her heal. She claimed the show served as an emotional outlet through her character Cassie despite the program's dark storylines.
"Cassie is definitely the closest – especially in season one – to me that I've played, and she means a lot to me," Sweeney explained. "But it's almost like therapy: where I can let out so much… that when I go home, I feel free."
Sydney Sweeney Penned An Emotional Tribute To Angus Cloud Following His Death
When news of Cloud's death broke, tributes began pouring in from his "Euphoria" costars, with Sweeney sharing a lengthy tribute. She dropped a carousel of treasured memories, including pictures of the late actor and snaps of the duo smiling happily on various occasions.
Sweeney captioned these touching moments with her love for Cloud, describing her homage as the most heartbreaking thing she had ever posted. "Angus, you were an open soul with the kindest heart, and you filled every room with laughter," she began her Instagram message. "This is the hardest thing ive ever had to post, and im struggling to find all the words."
"You will be missed more than you know, but I'm so blessed to have known you in this lifetime, and I'm sure everyone who has ever met you feels the same," she continued. "This heartache is real, and I wish we could've had one more hug and 711 run. All my love is with you."
Sweeney's "Euphoria" co-star, Zendaya, echoed similar sentiments in her Instagram tribute. The "Dune" actress shared a black-and-white photo of Cloud alongside a lengthy message about how grateful she was to work with the late actor.
"Words are not enough to describe the infinite beauty that is Angus (Conor). I'm so grateful I got the chance to know him in this life, to call him a brother, to see his warm, kind eyes and bright smile, or hear his infectious cackle of a laugh (I'm smiling now just thinking of it)," Zendaya wrote, adding:
"I know people use this expression often when talking about folks they love… 'they could light up any room they entered,' but boy, let me tell you, he was the best at it. I'd like to remember him that way."
"For all of the boundless light, love, and joy he always managed to give us. I'll cherish every moment. My heart is with his mother and family at this time, and please be kind and patient as grief looks different for everyone," Zendaya concluded her tribute.
