Following her standout role in "American Horror Story: Delicate," Kim Kardashian is set to star in a new series.

Teaming up again with the scary series' co-creator and executive producer Ryan Murphy, Kardashian — who played publicist Siobhan in "AHS" — will play Los Angeles's most successful divorce lawyer in the upcoming project.

Kim Kardashian Set To Star In Legal Drama Series

Kardashian will once again get to further flex her acting skills in a "sexy adult" drama where her lawyer alter-ego will be the owner of an all-female law firm. The series, scripted by "Brothers & Sisters" creator Jon Robin Baitz and "Feud: Capote Vs. The Swans" writer Joe Baken, is currently in the negotiation phase for the mother of four's contract.

Additionally, the series has secured a spot on steaming giant Hulu, marking the inaugural project for Murphy under his new deal at Disney. 20th Television, a component of Disney TV Studios, handles the production.

When Murphy, Baken, and Baitz presented the series concept to Kardashian and her momager, Kris Jenner, both women promptly committed to the project. Following the decision, Murphy, alongside Kardashian and Jenner, pitched and successfully sold the project to Hulu.

The streaming platform, motivated by the success of "The Kardashians" and "AHS: Delicate," swiftly pursued the opportunity. Hulu seemed sufficiently impressed with the pitch, and they committed to what some of its informants describe as a "straight-to-series order."

The series targets a production start in late 2024, with an anticipated premiere in early 2025. As for Kardashian, transitioning into the role of a lawyer aligns with her real-life aspirations, as she is actively studying for the bar exam after passing the Baby Bar in 2022 per Deadline.

As mentioned above, the Skims co-founder played a cutthroat publicist, Siobhan, in "AHS: Delicate," marking her most significant acting role to date. Despite initial skepticism surrounding her casting due to her reality television and social media background, the 43-year-old pleasantly surprised many with a performance that garnered enthusiastic support from fans and positive reviews from critics.

Taking to X, this person pointed out, "New [AHS] actually looks to be slightly scary and have a lot of potential + Kim surprised me her acting is decent," while another expressed, "Dare I say, Kim was not bad. She delivered her lines pretty cleanly. She gave the character some life and wasn't as monotone as we're used to seeing her. Kudos."

A third social media user effused, "Yessss!!! I have been waiting for a good season of AHS and omg they delivered! Episode 1 was so good! Emma Roberts and Kim Kardashian were fabulous! Kim really ate that role up! She's giving Academy Award nominee," and a fourth admitted, "Kim Kardashian did her thing. She had the odds stacked against her, but she was really giving actress."

The KKW Beauty Founder's Comedy Film Landed On Netflix

Last month, The Blast reported that nearly a week-long intense bidding war resulted in Netflix emerging as the victor, securing the rights to "The Fifth Wheel."

The competition, involving streaming services and theatrical distributors, narrowed from five contenders to three. After Thanksgiving, Netflix ultimately won Kardashian and her co-writers Janine Brito and Paula Pell over.

Reports claimed that the "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" alum was deeply engaged in the sales process and actively presented the female-driven comedy at each meeting, drawing interest from studios eager to collaborate with her.

Regardless, the noteworthy aspect of this project lies in its swift development, which defies the typical months-long processes known in the industry. Brito and Pell pitched the comedy film to Kardashian shortly after the conclusion of the SAG-AFTRA and Writers Guild of America strike earlier in the month.

Due to the project's exceptional speed in development, it has been highlighted that it marks the first significant sale of 2023, just before the end of the year. Sources have suggested that as a producer, Kardashian will play an active role in the marketing strategy, demonstrating a hands-on approach.
