Singer Britney Spears reportedly has no plans to buy her childhood home in Louisiana.

As The Blast previously reported, the 41-year-old pop star's childhood home in Kentwood, Louisiana, is up for sale along with some priceless memorabilia. Although the house is up for sale for $1.2 million, it appears that the "Toxic" singer is no interest in buying the property she used to call home.

Although the "Gimme More" singer's childhood home in Kentwood, Louisiana, is on the market for $1.2 million, it seems that the pop star has absolutely no plans to return to the place that she used to call home. Two and a half years after her father, Jamie Spears, sold the property for only $289,000, Britney's childhood home is back on the market again. This time, the new owners are looking to fetch over a million for the home, which includes priceless memorabilia such as Britney's childhood drawings, her own door, and a door that has "Christina sucks, Brit rules" written on it. Many feel that "Christina" is referring to her "The Mickey Mouse Club" costar, Christina Aguilera.

On Thursday, sources told TMZ that Britney knows that her family home is up for sale and has no interest in purchasing the property. Insiders say that Britney did not really have a reaction, whether it be positive or negative, when she heard the news. Some fans were hoping that she would buy the home and turn it into a museum dedicated to her formative years, but it seems that the 41-year-old pop star is eager to put the past behind her, especially given how much she talked about her past in her memoir, "The Woman In Me."

Britney's childhood 2,299 square foot home consists of 3 bedrooms and 2.5 baths. The house sits on 1.87 acres and even features a pet cemetery in the backyard. Yvonne Hulsey of Keller Williams Realty Services told The Blast that the pet cemetery is now "home" to a dog that has long since passed away. According to the Redfin listing:

“Set against a backdrop of serene, park-like grounds, the property exudes a sense of tranquility and nostalgia. What sets this home apart is its authentic connection to Britney herself. Many of the furnishings are original to the home, preserving the essence of the iconic singer’s early years. The chance to own a piece of pop culture history makes this property all the more special.”

Lynne Spears Claims She Still Has Britney's Old Childhood Doll Collection

In her memoir, “The Woman In Me,” the Princess of Pop reflected on the “peace” she felt when she decided that she “never wanted to see” her father Jamie Spears, 71, her mother Lynne Spears, 68, her brother Bryan Spears, 46, or her sister, Jamie Lynn Spears, 32, ever again.

After visiting her family in Kentwood, Lousiana, amid the COVID-19 pandemic, Britney noticed that several of her personal items stored at her mother's house including her beloved Madame Alexander doll collection, which she received as a child, had been “thrown away.” She claimed that several years’ “worth of [her] writing” and “binders” of poetry had been discarded as well, but Lynne took to Instagram to share a slideshow featuring a black journal and old dolls that still belonged to the pop star.

“I’m not sure who told you I got rid of your dolls and journals but I would never do that! That would be cruel because I know how much they mean to you. They are special to me too because of the years we spent collecting them,” Lynne wrote in the caption. “Of course, I still have your things, and I am happy to send them to you if you’d like me to. Please let me know and know how much I love you!”

However, in a recent Instagram post, Britney told her mother that she no longer has any interest in taking back her belongings. “Ps mom I love you so so much, but there were 3 dolls in the cabinets when I went home 2 years ago … kinda really weird you would take them out and then put them back in … so messed up,” Britney wrote at the bottom of a post about Taylor Swift. “Nope, I don’t want them. Keep it all. I honestly don’t care anymore … honestly though.”
