Gymnast Nastia Liukin has finally released her debut fall fashion collection that she has been promoting for weeks, but that's not what fans are taking notice of.

Some of her followers are concerned that the 34-year-old former gymnast, who has been retired since 2012, is getting too skinny for her own good. In addition to comments telling her to "eat a cheeseburger," other users have even gone as far as to tell her that she looks like a "malnourished child."

Gymnast Nastia Liukin Gets Told ‘Eat A Cheeseburger, You Look Emaciated’

Only one day ago, the five-time Olympic medalist took to Instagram to show a few photos of one of the dresses from her collection that she named “The Harley.” The pink long-sleeve dress drops to her upper thighs and covers most of her slim figure. Her long legs are still on display as she showed off her pedicure in strappy pink heels.

She is standing in front of a wall advertising her new fall collection. The wall is covered with pink cowboy hats, prompting Nastia to joke that “me and the 13-foot ladder have become bffs” in the caption. Although she announced that the launch of her new clothing line was happening on Monday, November 6, in the caption, other followers couldn’t stop talking about her weight.

Some Users Are Raising Concerns Over Nastia’s Weight

Although some fans said that they “couldn’t wait” to see Nastia’s clothing line, other comments were about her size. “This is so unattractive. She looks like a malnourished child,” one netizen wrote.

“Please eat a cheeseburger. You look emaciated. I’m a big fan. Please don’t look like a stick,” another user wrote.

Another follower submitted a GIF that showed a man saying, “Just eat the food.”

“She needs a nutritionist and a therapist before she drops with cardiac arrest,” another netizen speculated.

One user seemed to imply that she had an E.D., writing, “As an athlete who has struggled for a decade +, (you know what I mean), I say sincerely, that I hope you're able to be stronger than me and overcome. I see you. And send prayers.”

‘No One Is Concerned?’ Sparks A LOT Of Debate On Her Post

One user asked, “No one is concerned?” which sparked a large amount of debate in the comments. “I said out loud ‘Oh no’,” one fan remarked. “I was thinking the same thing,” another follower agreed.

“Of course they are but they’re all too afraid to say anything for fear of being called some ridiculous name. But when this person drops from a cardiac condition those same cowards will all be crying ‘Why didn’t anyone reach out to her!?’ ‘Didn’t anyone see the signs??’” another user commented. “I have no problem with saying it: she NEEDS to eat! Too young and beautiful and talented to waste away. She needs to read Karen Carpenter’s story.”

“I have never heard of this person, but [Nastia] is nothing but skin and bones. Definitely needs to see a doctor,” another user commented. “Her team should be very concerned with the message this sends to the thousands of young gymnasts that follow her. She does not appear well and it is very alarming. I pray she gets help,” another follower shared.

Nastia Liukin Did Not Reply To Comments About Her Weight... But Her Fans Did!

However, some fans felt that her weight was nothing that she should be discussing on Instagram. “Oh, you know her personally? Do you have her full story? No? …Then keep your back-handed comments to yourself,” one fan clapped back. “You never know what someone is going through and SURPRISE it’s none of your business. If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all.” They wrapped up their comment with the hashtag “manners.”

This sparked another user to respond: “She wasn’t scolding her in any way! Watch yourself, Poptart. People are genuinely concerned and hope she is doing well. Learn how to comprehend what you read before ranting nonsense.”
