Shanna Moakler 'Absolutely Gutted' After Death Of Her Hairless Cat Buddha

Shanna Moakler finds herself grappling with yet another wave of sorrow as the recent loss of her beloved feline friend, Buddha, has left her heart heavy with grief.

In a year marked by profound loss, the star faces yet another heart-wrenching moment as she bids farewell to her pet. The grief-stricken TV personality took to social media, expressing how this latest blow has added to the weight of an already trying year.

The unique bond between a pet and its owner transcends words, and in this sad moment, the model's heartache is palpable. In a 10-slide carousel uploaded to her Instagram page, her love for the late feline was apparent judging by the massive amount of solo shots that could be seen. 

The first slide saw the blonde beauty cuddling the cherished hairless cat while seated in a sunchair by the pool. Images of Buddha followed this in different places and positions, including sleeping curled on its side.

Finally, the mother-of-three also added what looked like a throwback of the pair in a pose similar to the first slide, except this time, she was standing in front of a door. 

In the caption, Moakler, who had already endured the passing of both her parents, shared a heartbreaking note that showed the extent to which the year had tested the limits of her resilience. 

Acknowledging that it had been a challenging and distressing time, she stated, "Well this year just keeps getting more horrid, I just put down my best friend.... literally my world. My Buddha."

The former pageant queen further shared how significant Buddha was in her life, "When I had nothing I had him, he literally held my hand at night when I slept, my house and my heart are shattered. I know he will be with my family, I am heartbroken and absolutely gutted...??❤️⚓️ Godspeed." 

In response, Moakler's fans flooded her post with heartfelt messages of comfort, such as one compassionate individual expressing, "I'm so sorry.. he had the BEST life with the best mommy!! Beautiful kitty.. sending you love."

Another tenderly offered solace, stating, "So sorry to hear. Praying for you. He's over the rainbow ? bridge. ???," while a third shared their own experience, writing, "I'm so sorry ??I know how hard it is. He is watching over you." One heartfelt message adequately captured the essence of her emotional journey, noting, "Worst pain ever! I'm so sorry for your loss!" 

Overwhelmed with all the love shown to her, the actress shared a video of herself still grieving heavily to her Instagram story to thank her followers for their support. With tears running down her cheeks, the fresh-faced beauty began by saying, "I just want to say thanks to everyone who sent me really nice messages." 

She went on to explain that while her day had begun well and she was happy, "it turned to s—" because of the death of her pet cat. The "Joey" star then expressed gratitude again before noting that she would be going to bed.  

For those who do not know, the reality TV star's love for animals was at some point evident in the diverse collection of critters that called her home their own – and her cat Buddha had been present from the beginning.

Over a decade ago, the "Meet The Barkers" alum introduced the hairless cat to her fans on social media. The former Miss USA revealed her enthusiasm for this new addition as she enthusiastically shared, "we have 2 cats now! 2 bunnies, 3 dogs, 1 hamster. Lol" 

The "Bridalplasty" host, who experienced the loss of both her parents within a mere eight months of each other, shared a touching glimpse into her most cherished recollection on her Instagram story. 

Against a backdrop of complete blackness, she penned, "❤️ My favorite memory in life is walking in on my mom and dad dancing. I hope you all get to dance the way they did."

In another slide, Moakler appeared in a black jacket, her tear-filled eyes reflecting the pain of her recent losses. Despite the emotional weight, her luscious blonde hair cascaded gracefully over her shoulder as she wrote:

"I love you dad @drjohnmoakler." The "Poison Ivy: The New Seduction" actress then explained the significance of the jacket in another post: "I got my dad's jacket today, and my moms license plate…. Very emotional day." 

She also revealed her plans to get a tattoo of her late father's logo like her daughter Atiana did and encouraged compassion and self-kindness for grieving people before adding, "And thank you to the people who have shown up, I'll never forget you."
