Actor Matthew Perry passed away on Saturday night due to an apparent drowning at age 54.

Many fans and famous friends have lamented the passing of the "Friends" star and took to social media to reflect on growing up with the iconic 90s sitcom.

Abigail Breslin Reveals That ‘Friends’ Was Her ‘Favorite Show’

“Little Miss Sunshine” actress Abigail Breslin revealed that, although she did not know Matthew Perry personally, “Friends” was her favorite show and Perry’s character of Chandler had continuously brought her laughter throughout the years.

“I did not personally know Matthew Perry but my heart aches over his passing. ‘Friends’ will always be my favorite show,” she wrote. “It got me through losing my best friend, countless breakups, and then it got me through losing my dad in 2021. This show, and the character of Chandler, have been constants in my life, bringing me laughter, joy and comfort in times I’ve been at my lowest.”

“For this, I thank you, Matthew Perry. I thank you so much for the endless laughter and happiness your performances have given to me and so many others,” she concluded. “I hope you rest peacefully… my condolences to his family, friends, and coworkers.”

'Friends' Costar Paget Brewster Says He Was 'Lovely' To Her On Set

“Modern Family” actress and “Friends” costar Paget Brewster, who was known for her recurring role as Kathy on the fourth season of the NBC sitcom, took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to say that he was always "lovely" to her on the set of the show.

"I’m so very sad to hear about @MatthewPerry. He was lovely to me on Friends and every time I saw him in the decades after. Please read his book. It was his legacy to help. He won’t rest in peace though," she wrote, adding, "He’s already too busy making everyone laugh up there."

On Tuesday, October 24, 2023, pop star Britney Spears released her tell-all memoir, "The Woman In Me." Ever since her 13-year conservatorship ended in November 2021, fans have been wondering how the "Toxic" singer spends her time when she's not posting dancing videos on Instagram. In an interview with People magazine, Britney told the publication that she is a “simple girl” who likes to spend her free time playing with her dogs and watching “Friends.”

“I really love people. I love God, I still love my family and close friends. I love tea parties and dinner parties. My friend Cade [Hudson] has me to dinner where I meet the most creative people I admire who make me belly laugh,” she said, referring to her longtime manager. Britney explained that she is still “learning this new freedom” and confessed that it can be “challenging at times” to learn her limits. That being said, she likes to spend her free time  “playing with my dogs [or] watching episodes of Friends and belly laughing.”

"Community" star Yvette Nicole Brown appeared alongside Perry for “The Odd Couple” sitcom, which ran on CBS from February 2015 to January 2017. On Sunday morning, she tweeted, "Our #OddCouple family suffered a great loss today. The entire entertainment world has. I am too sad about the news to say more than this: @mattyperry4 was a sweetheart who deserved more peace in this life. 54 is too young to go. We love you, Matty! #RIPMatthewPerry."

“The Parent Trap” actress Lisa Ann Walter recalled Perry's funniest moment, and believe it or not, it wasn't a scene from "Friends."

"In The Whole Nine Yards - Matthew Perry runs full force into a patio door - that and the scene that followed is one of the top comedic moments I’ve witnessed," she tweeted. "I told him so when I recurred on The Odd Couple. He smiled so big I thought he’d crack his face. It was beautiful."
