Sam Asghari Lives It Up In Texas Amid Britney Spears Book Release

Actor Sam Asghari was seen partying in Texas while Britney Spears released her tell-all memoir, “The Woman In Me.”

The former couple, who is in the middle of a contentious divorce, do not seem to be on good terms lately, although the “Toxic” singer had nothing but positive things to say about him in her memoir.

The “Special Ops: Lioness” actor was spotted at a US Grand Prix Party in Austin, Texas, this past weekend, wearing a cowboy hat, denim jeans, and boots at the Sports Illustrated Circuit series, which is the official After Party of COTA. Several other celebrities to appear at the star-studded event include Becca Tobin, Mark Consuelos, and Cole Hauser.

Although fans still have mixed feelings about the actor, Britney herself had nothing but positive things to say about him in her memoir. She called him a “gift from God,” adding,”  have an appreciation for how stable he is. I love that he doesn't even drink” She said that she knew that she wanted him in her “life immediately” after they met on the set of her “Slumber Party” music video in 2016.

“The chemistry with us in the beginning was insane. We couldn't keep our hands off each other,” she wrote, crediting him for giving her the courage to speak out against her controversial 13-year conservatorship. At a court hearing in June 2021, Britney recalled how he “squeezed” her hand to show his support, as per the Daily Mail.

“I look up to him — his consistency with working out and being a good man and being healthy and taking care of me and helping me learn how we can take care of each other,” she gushed. “He's such an inspiration and I'm grateful.”

The two became engaged in September 2021, two months before her conservatorship was finally struck down by a judge. The two tied the knot in June 2022, but on August 16, 2023, the 29-year-old actor filed for divorce from the 41-year-old pop star citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split. According to court documents obtained by The Blast, the actor listed July 28, 2023, as their official date of separation.

The news of their separation was immediately followed by rumors that the “Toxic” singer had cheated on him. A source told ET the night that Sam filed for divorce that Britney was “adamant she didn’t cheat,” adding, “The two haven’t got along for a while and it finally came to an end after a major blowup.”

“Britney and Sam have had ups and downs throughout their relationship. They have a lot of love for each other, but they also argue a lot over fundamental issues,” the insider continued. “Sometimes they feel as though each other’s needs aren’t being completely met. Recently, things took a bad turn and their arguments became more serious and real.”

“Their issues tend to get worse when they are away from each other and spending time apart. Britney has the tendency to feel like she isn’t being prioritized by Sam at times,” the insider alleged. “Their arguments have led them to become unhappy at times in their relationship. They are also on different pages when it comes to their future as a couple, which has been a point of contention.”

The following day, Sam took to his Instagram Stories to give an official statement on the divorce. “After 6 years of love and commitment to each other my wife and I have decided to end our journey together,” he wrote. “We will hold onto the love and respect we have for each other and I wish her the best always. Sh*t happens. Asking for privacy seems [ridiculous] so I will just ask for everyone including media to be kind and thoughtful.”

The day after his statement, Britney posted a video on Instagram that featured her dancing around in her living room and addressed her divorce with a lengthy caption:

“As everyone knows, Hesam and I are no longer together … 6 years is a long time to be with someone so, I’m a little shocked but … I’m not here to explain why because its honestly nobody’s business !!! But, I couldn’t take the pain anymore honestly !!! In some sort of telepathic way I have been receiving so many messages that melt my heart from friends and I thank you !!! I’ve been playing it strong for way too long and my Instagram may seem perfect but it’s far from reality and I think we all know that !!! I would love to show my emotions and tears on how I really feel but some reason I’ve always had to hide my weaknesses !!! If I wasn’t my dad’s strong soldier, I would be sent away to places to get fixed by doctors !!! But that’s when I needed family the most !!! You’re supposed to be loved unconditionally … not under conditions !!!! So I will be as strong as I can and do my best !!! And I’m actually doing pretty d--- good !!! Anyways have a good day and don’t forget to smile !!!”

Britney Spears' memoir "The Woman In Me" was officially released on Tuesday, October 24, 2023.
