Britney Spears Pulled Over By Cops For ANOTHER Driving Infraction

Pop star Britney Spears has been making a lot of headlines due to the release of her memoir, “The Woman In Me,” on Tuesday, October 24.

However, the 41-year-old pop star is about to make headlines for a different reason. Earlier this month, The Blast broke the story that the “Toxic” singer was busted for driving without a license or insurance in the vehicle. She does have both of these items, however, they were not in her car when she was pulled over.

Although she paid that fine, she was pulled over by the California Highway Patrol for crossing double yellow lines.

According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Britney Spears was pulled over by California Highway Patrol on October 6, 2023, for making an improper turn over double lines. The correctable offense comes with a fine of $327. She is due in court on November 21, 2023.

As  The Blast previously reported, the “Oops!... I Did It Again” singer was pulled over by California Highway Patrol on September 10. Although it is unclear exactly why the cops pulled her over, she was cited for a “failure to provide a peace officer evidence of financial responsibility.”

She was cited for a $1,140 fine, which was due on October 24. Ironically, that’s the same day that her memoir was released.

In another twist, The Blast broke the story – which was quickly picked up by other media outlets – on October 10. According to court documents obtained by The Blast, that’s the same date that she decided to pay up. It says that she paid $1,140, so she must have also faced a five-dollar fee.

This is also far from Britney’s first driving infraction. In March 2022, the “Womanizer” singer was caught driving at an “unsafe speed for prevailing conditions.” It was not clear how fast she was driving on this occasion, but she was cited by the Venture County Sheriff’s Department for driving at an “unsafe speed” in June 2019 too.

At the time, Britney was still under her 13-year conservatorship, which lasted from February 2008 to November 2021. The “Lucky” singer has spoken at length about her conservatorship in her memoir, which is scheduled for release on Tuesday, October 24.

In an excerpt from her memoir “The Woman In Me” released by People magazine one week before the book release, the “Stronger” singer recalled how she felt like a “child robot” during her conservatorship.

“I became a robot. But not just a robot — a sort of child robot. I had been so infantilized that I was losing pieces of what made me feel like myself,” she wrote in her memoir. “The conservatorship stripped me of my womanhood, made me into a child. I became more of an entity than a person onstage. I had always felt music in my bones and my blood; they stole that from me.”

She went on to say that she felt like a “shadow” of herself, adding, “This is what’s hard to explain, how quickly I could vacillate between being a little girl and being a teenager and being a woman, because of the way they had robbed me of my freedom.”

“There was no way to behave like an adult since they wouldn’t treat me like an adult, so I would regress and act like a little girl; but then my adult self would step back in — only my world didn’t allow me to be an adult,” she added.

She then hinted at the title of the book, writing, “The woman in me was pushed down for a long time. They wanted me to be wild onstage, the way they told me to be and to be a robot the rest of the time.”

“I felt like I was being deprived of those good secrets of life — those fundamental supposed sins of indulgence and adventure that make us human,” added. “They wanted to take away that specialness and keep everything as rote as possible. It was death to my creativity as an artist.”
