Singer Christina Aguilera did not want to be mentioned in Britney Spears' memoir "The Woman In Me" but she is still in there!

Her former "The Mickey Mouse Club" costar was hoping that Britney wouldn't call her out in her tell-all memoir, but it looks like she is in there all the same!

Although she does mention the “Candyman” singer in her memoir, Britney Spears focuses more on her ex-boyfriend, Justin Timberlake, whom she dated from 1999 to 2002. She recalls looking at their joint cover of the Rolling Stone and felt that Justin was making “sexy eyes” at her.

In a June 2003 issue of Rolling Stone ahead of their joint tour, Christina told the outlet, “He and Britney made a great couple. I’ve known the both of them since [Mickey Mouse Club], and they kind of had their little crushes even back then.”

“Britney has known him for such a long time, too —before he was Justin Timberlake, the star, when he was just Justin, the kid on the Mickey Mouse Club,” she continued. “I don’t know, I have a feeling that there’s going to be some reconciliation. I know that they talk and everything, and it’s cool. I don’t think it’s over.”

Although Justin did not respond to rumors that he and the “Toxic” singer would reconnect, he did address claims that he had started dating the “Genie In A Bottle” singer.  “We’ve been rumored to have had a romance, which is so far off. We’re two people who are just very platonic,” he said at the time. “You know, I can’t say that we’re the best of friends, we don’t hang out all the time, but that’s more or less because of what we do, and the schedule is so crazy.”

An insider told Us Weekly that Britney called his comments “confusing” in her memoir, especially since they were often compared and contrasted in the media.

In 2004, the “Lady Marmalade” singer told Blender magazine “Every time I tried to start a conversation with her — well, let’s just say she seemed nervous the whole time,” during rehearsals at the MTV Video Music Awards. “She seems to me like a lost little girl, someone who [desperately] needs guidance,” she added.

In her own interview with Blender that year, Britney fired back, saying, “When someone has been rude to you so many times, it’s like, ‘You know what, Christina, I’m really not about the fake anymore.”

Over the years, it appears that the two have reconciled. During a January 2022 appearance on The Enrique Santos Show, as per the outlet, the “Hurt” singer said, “I would love to [speak to Britney], I would always be open to that.”

“It’s a subject that I definitely want to be careful of because I never want to speak out of turn about somebody that I have so much respect and admiration for. But, I’m so happy [for her],” she added.

Christina Aguilera Didn't Want To Be In Britney Spears’ Memoir

On Monday night, the “Can't Hold Us Down” singer appeared on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” to talk about her upcoming Las Vegas Residency.

During the interview, host Jimmy Kimmel asked her if Britney had ever reached out to her to discuss her memoir, "The Woman In Me," and if she was mentioned at all in the pages of the tell-all book.

“Dude, I don’t know. I don’t know,” she replied, admitting that although the two grew up together on “The Mickey Mouse Club,” the two pop stars have not been in contact with each other for a while.

“I’m hoping that everything is all good with her. Everything’s beautiful,” she said, adding, “The future should be celebrated.”

Jimmy then asked her, “If you had to choose between being in it and not being in it?”

Christina asked, “I mean, for real? For real?”

“I would like to be in it,” Jimmy confessed, to which Christina responded, “Maybe you will be in it. Listen, I’d rather it be you than me.”

Britney does mention Christina Aguilera again only briefly when she discusses her start on “The Mickey Mouse Club” in 1993 and her first kiss with Justin Timberlake.

Britney Spears' memoir "The Woman In Me" is scheduled for release on Tuesday, October 24, 2023.
