Millie Bobby Brown Is Ready For A Tougher Terrain

The 19-year-old expressed her eagerness to get things done and over with after the fifth season of "Stranger Things," which will commence filming once the SAG-AFTRA strike ends. According to her, the end of the project is undoubtedly not the final curtain for her career. In her words:

"When you're ready, you're like, All right, let's do this. Let's tackle this last senior year. Let's get out of here."

"It's been such a huge factor in part of my life, but it's like graduating high school, it's like senior year. You're ready to go and blossom and flourish and you're grateful for the time you've had, but it's time to create your own message and live your own life."

Inside The Primetime Emmy Award Nominated Actress' Upcoming Project

Speaking on exiting and blossoming, Brown has a new movie in the works and is expected to drop on Netflix in 2024. "The Electric State" is a post-apocalyptic tentpole directed by Anthony and Joe Russo. The movie is based on the graphic novel of the same name written by Simon Stalenhag.

According to the "Damsel" star, starring alongside Chris Pratt in the project was a "very exciting opportunity" that she never saw coming, adding that:

"To be able to be treated the same as him and to be looked at and respected the same as him on the set by the production, by the studio."

In the same vein, the actress recalled the several criticisms she faced during press tours for "Stranger Things" as a 13-year-old. She was widely condemned for "talking over her co-star in interviews" and trying the spotlight. The actress continued:

"We're kids — we talk over each other," Brown said. "I was just penalized for over-talking and oversharing and being too loud. "It's hard to hear that at 13, You're like, I don't want to ever talk again. I don't want to be the loud person."

Brown added that she "couldn't help but think of all the comments. So I just remembered to stay silent and speak when I was spoken to, even though I was dying to join in. I just felt it wasn't my turn."

In the spirit of change and growth, the author shared details on how plans to tie the knot with Bongiovi are going during the promotional tour for her book "Nineteen Steps." According to her, her fiance is so hands-on about every little detail, hence she does not have to worry about anything. In her words:

"Jake is very involved. He is very helpful during the whole process. I have never felt alone in it, which I think is nice, I am like, Is this a good idea? But ultimately, it's a very intimate day for both of us, and we are excited."

However, when asked about the possibility of Jon Bon Jovi, her fiance's dad performing at the wedding, the actress confirmed that it would not be possible due to his tight schedule.

Per The Blast, Brown has been vocal about her preference for a low-key wedding as she values those "small precious moments in life" and wants to keep them "really close to her chest."

Bongiovi proposed using her mother's ring to Brown, which the "Godzilla vs Kong" has always admired. She said, "I've always loved that ring, it's always stuck out to me, so she gave it to Jake."
