“Dancing With The Stars” alum Alan Bersten is launching a new at-home workout program amid his shocking elimination with celebrity dance partner Jamie Lynn Spears.
On October 3, the two were eliminated during the Latin night episode, which marked only the second week of season 32. During the premiere, the two had gotten a 15/30 score from the three judges and they didn’t fare much better on the second week, getting only a 16/30.
Although both celebrities encouraged fans to vote at home, unfortunately, it wasn’t enough to keep them in the competition. However, Alan is looking forward to sharing his new at-home fitness routine with fans and connecting with them in a whole new way.
Alan Bersten Launches At-Home Workout Program Following Jamie Lynn Spears ‘DWTS’ Elimination
Although he felt “so bummed’ to be leaving the competition, Alan Bersten told Entertainment Weekly that he is looking forward to interacting with his passionate fanbase in a whole new way: by sharing his Bers10 Fitness program with the world.
The fitness program is a series of 10-minute videos that include 10 exercises for fans to follow along with. The website promotes the workouts as “high intensity,” but in the description, Alan says that he created the program for all fitness levels. The description reads:
“I created Berst10 Fitness, for every single person whether you are starting your fitness journey or looking to enhance your current routine I guide you through each workout and you can select to focus on certain body groups such as; core, upper body, lower body or do a full body workout in 10 minutes. I am thrilled for you to be part of the Berst10 Fitness family and I can't wait to work out with you every day for TEN minutes.”
Although the program costs $12.99 a month, fans who are on the fence about the intensity of the program can get a 7-day trial to the program. An annual fitness membership, which costs $120.99 per year, also comes with a 7-day trial. Both memberships come with access to “videos, challenges, and series.”
They both also include an invite to their “exclusive community,” new content every week, extra downloadable materials, and “no commitment” with the ability to cancel at any time. Signing up for the annual membership is twenty percent cheaper, meaning that fans who lock in for a year can save up to $35 per year if they plan to commit to Alan’s 10-minute-a-day fitness challenge.
As Alan told Entertainment Weekly, "I'm a huge believer of physical activity and how important it is not only for physical health but mental health," Bersten says. "It literally is for everyone and I think the main goal and focus of it is to just get up and get moving."
Alan Had Plenty Of Praise For ‘Awesome’ Jamie Lynn Spears
In addition to promoting his new workout program, Alan also told the outlet that it was “awesome” working with the “Zoey 101” star on “Dancing With The Stars,” despite their hasty elimination.
"Honestly, I think people would be so surprised at how awesome Jamie Lynn is," he said. "She works so hard but there was never a hard day. People might assume things of people, but at the end of the day, she was such a sweet person and honestly, I'm going to miss dancing with her."
When asked if he thought fans of Britney Spears might be trying to sabotage their performance due to the fallout between the two sisters, Alan admitted that he tried not to look at social media. "The more positivity in the world, the better, that's all I think,” he said. “As long as people are healthy and happy, there shouldn't be any negativity."
Although he doesn’t have any regrets about their performance, he does wish that he had been able to perform a contemporary dance with the “Sweet Magnolias” actress, which might have helped them “connect” with the audience a little bit better.
"The more you connect with the audience, the more people vote," he said. "So I really think even though there are shocking eliminations, it kind of makes sense, I really think the show is fair. I'm choosing to be grateful, grateful that I'm a part of the show, grateful for my fans, and I can't wait to see what's next.”
