Britney Spears’ Mom Lynne Spears ‘Proud’ Of Jamie Lynn Spears ‘DWTS’ Performance

Lynne Spears, the mother of singer Britney Spears and actress Jamie Lynn Spears, is cheering on her younger daughter as she competes on the latest season of "Dancing With The Stars."

Although fans of the pop star are concerned that producers might try to stir up drama between the two estranged siblings, Lynne Spears said that she was "proud" to see her daughter perform on the show while arriving in Los Angeles to watch her performance live.

On Tuesday, September 26, Lynne Spears landed in Los Angeles to watch Jamie Lynn Spears perform on “Dancing With The Stars.” The 68-year-old mother-of-two was accompanied by her grandchildren, Jamie Lynn’s daughters Maddie,15, and Ivey, 5, who will be looking after their grandmother while Jamie Lynn competes.

In a video obtained by the Daily Mail after she landed, Lynne said that she was “not really” nervous about her daughter’s performance. When asked what words of encouragement she had to offer her daughter, Lynn said that she would tell Jamie Lynn “to do her best” before agreeing that she was “very proud” of Jamie Lynn’s performance.

When asked if Britney Spears would also appear in the audience, Lynne did not answer. She also refused to answer a question asking if she would like to see Jamie Lynn dance to one of Britney’s songs. Jamie Lynn has been partnered up with Alan Bersten, 29, for the dancing competition series.

The day before the celebrity line-up was officially revealed, Jamie Lynn Spears revealed that she was going to be performing in the upcoming season of "Dancing With The Stars." However, she said that she would be donating her salary due to the SAG-AFTRA actor's strike and the WGA writer's strike.

“Decided to lace up my dancing shoes for a good reason,” Jamie Lynn wrote in the caption of her Instagram post. “I was offered an opportunity that is completely out of the ordinary of something I would normally ever do, but it’s during a time where my community #SAG & #WGA are on strike & all of us members are unable to work until we have reached a fair resolution, so if I’m able to use this unique opportunity to bring more awareness and to donate the salary I get for dancing each week back to the community who has given me so much, then it’s the least I can do.”

“I could not ask for a better partner then @alanbersten to guide me through this adventure,” she continued. “I’m not gonna lie, I’m scared, but I’m just gonna have fun and hopefully be able to give back in a meaningful way until we can ALL GET BACK TO OUR DAY JOBS.” She ended her post with the hashtags #SAGAFTRASTRONG, #WGA, and #SAG.

On Tuesday, the "Toxic" singer went viral for a video that she posted on Instagram on Monday night. In the video, she is dancing barefoot in her living room while wearing a crop top and white bottoms. She is wielding two large knives in her hand, although she assured her followers in the caption that they were fake.

“I started playing in the kitchen with knives today ??‍♀️??‍♀️??‍♀️ !!! Don’t worry they are NOT real knives !!! Halloween is soon ??? !!!" she wrote in the caption.

However, on Tuesday afternoon, she followed it up with another dancing video. Fans who swipe to the second slide of her Instagram post will see that she has a bandage on her arm, a cut on her leg, and what looks to be a red bruise on her hip.

"My ‘Pretty Woman’ top … kinda cool after my briefing on polka dots ???????? !!!! Swipe to see both !!!" she wrote in the caption. She also followed it up with another dancing video and a long caption.

In this caption, she wrote:

"So yesterday I brought this outfit back … kinda like a costume I guess … I like it !!!! I never thought white would read well but it does … I’m not fishing for compliments !!! I realize I’ve been in my living room dancing … lights give me a horrible migraine after 20 years ? … I like to control the lights !!! I mean it is my f---ing head … am I suppose to TRUST ever again ??? Too many smiles always saying 'Sorry we didn’t know!' but oh well ??‍♀️??!!! I realize I’ve lost a lot of weight and my eyes aren’t as wide open !!! I feel weaker when I lose weight. I think I figured it out … lay around … be lazy … sleep all day … and you get really skinny … like some people I know !!! I can be like my mom now !!! I also realize that when you’ve been hurt by people you respect, the body reacts differently. Anxiety and nervousness which is a shame because those that did it to me are the most self centered ?!!! They love to listen to themselves talk for hours !!! Vanity haven superficial pieces of ?. I have people who I look up to and I’m thankful for their friendship.
