Britney Spears’ Ex Kevin Federline Hopes Jamie Lynn Spears Wins ‘DWTS’

Britney Spears' ex-husband Kevin Federline is rooting for Jamie Lynn Spears on this season of "Dancing With The Stars."

After competing on “Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test” last year, the “Zoey 101” star is now trying her hand at dancing along with professional dancer Alan Bersten. Although they have been on the outs for years, K-Fed recently revealed that he and his family are supporting Jamie Lynn on the latest season of “Dancing With The Stars.”

On August 1, Kevin Federline moved his family, including the two teenage sons he shares with Briteny Spears, to Hawaii. The family seems very happy with the move so far, but that doesn’t mean they’ve stepped out of the spotlight completely. In a video posted by TMZ, paparazzi caught up to Kevin as he was walking down the street in Hawaii.

When asked how he was enjoying life in Hawaii, Kevin replied, “Not complaining, that’s for sure.” He later added, “Everyone’s doing pretty good.” When asked if had seen Jamie Lynn perform on “Dancing With The Stars,” Kevin admitted that they “missed” it at first but watched it “after,” most likely referring to streaming the premiere.

“We’re rooting for her, that’s for sure,” Kevin replied but shrugged off a question about whether or not he had been in touch with Britney since the move.

Last week, the "Sweet Magnolias" actress shared a funny video on Instagram that featured her preparing for her "Dancing With The Stars" routine despite a busy week. Text over an Instagram video reads, “#DWTS schedule be like… No sleep. Choreography. Rehearsals. Fitting. More rehearsals. Interview. Camera blocking. No sleep! No Fear!”

“NO SLEEP, bc #SAGAFTRA is still on strike, but we have been given this opportunity to give back to everyone in the #SAG community who can’t work, just by dancing each week, so there’s absolutely no time to waste on things like sleeping! LET'S GOOOOOO,” she wrote in the caption. She earned praise from her followers for her routine while others wished her luck on her next performance.

Jamie Lynn's casting was announced one day before the full celebrity line-up was revealed. The "Zoey 102" actress took to Instagram to tell her followers that she “decided to lace up my dancing shoes for a good reason” and revealed that she planned on donating her salary due to the strikes.

“I was offered an opportunity that is completely out of the ordinary of something I would normally ever do, but it’s during a time when my community #SAG & #WGA are on strike & all of us members are unable to work until we have reached a fair resolution, so if I’m able to use this unique opportunity to bring more awareness and to donate the salary I get for dancing each week back to the community who has given me so much, then it’s the least I can do,” she wrote in the caption.

“I could not ask for a better partner than @alanbersten to guide me through this adventure,” she continued. “I’m not gonna lie, I’m scared, but I’m just gonna have fun and hopefully be able to give back in a meaningful way until we can ALL GET BACK TO OUR DAY JOBS.”

After the season premiere aired, Jamie Lynn took to Instagram to share a few photos with her family and friends following the performance. "Big THANKS to all those who work so incredibly hard to put on such massively hard production like this, yet still manage to make it so wonderful, even when you’re so nervous ya need to vomit," she wrote in the caption.

"Huge THANK YOU to all my friends, family, and fans for the unbelievable support and VOTES for us last night! I’m honored to have this incredible experience, and be able to use it as an opportunity to give back to my #SAG community who can not work as we continue to fight the good fight," she added. "Love y’all. thank y’all."
