The Blast had the chance to sit down with both Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Peta Murgatroyd to talk about their new partnership with Hallmark and Venmo and how this will change the future of gift-giving.

"It's a one of its kind type of partnership, "Murgatroyd told The Blast exclusively. "Venmo and Hallmark have never partnered together before, and it's something that, for us, is very authentic and organic in our lives."

The "Dancing With the Stars" pro went on to explain how she is a considerable card-giver and so being able to "marry [a physical card] with the ability to scan a code on the inside and be able to send somebody money straight to their account, the convenience of that in our lives right now is just immeasurable."

Maksim Chmerkovskiy chimed in, admitting that "like a typical dude, I used treat cards like a vessel of cash," but explained how Hallmark has made it easier for him to pick out something for any occasion that is already written and thought out.

"This partnership with Hallmark and Venmo is incredible because of how easy it is to transfer cash and add a monetary component nowadays," he told The Blast. "Look, we're all adults, and this is a part of life, and we need to make sure we adjust, and this adjustment is incredible."

The way the new collaboration works is that customers can select a card from the new line celebrating a range of occasions, scan the unique QR code inside each card, choose the amount they want to give, and also handwrite a personalized message.

When the recipient opens the card, they will scan the QR code to access the gift amount, which will be transferred to their Venmo account.
