Britney Spears Deactivates Instagram Again Following Fan Concern

It seems Britney Spears has deactivated her Instagram page for the second time following the news of her divorce from actor Sam Asghari.

The 41-year-old deactivated her Instagram account on Friday afternoon following a long posting spree that shared throwbacks to many screencaps of her dancing videos. She also left comments on and provided a strange remark about why she decided to do so, concerning fans.

On Saturday afternoon, the “Toxic” singer decided to take a social media hiatus and hop off Instagram for a while. It’s unclear how long she will leave her Instagram account deactivated. Sometimes it’s for a few days and sometimes it’s for a few hours.

On Friday night, she shared a photo of her wearing a tiny red top and camouflage bottoms. In the caption, she hinted that she decided to leave comments on a previous post because she thought that it would make fans feel so much more “relatable” to her.

“When people say everywhere I go …. ‘we missed you we missed you’ I’m like so enthralled that I’m so relatable you can speak to me even when you’re not spoken to … because I CARE ??!!!” she wrote. “I mean … should I not let you guys miss saying hi and disturb the peace ☮️ ???”

She followed it up with two photos of her dancing in a yellow dress that she captioned “Yellow Hello.” Earlier in the day, she also shared a few photos of her wearing an animal-print bodysuit in her living room. She actually posted several photos in that outfit, deleting some posts and not others.

Although she only wrote “TB” for “throwback” in some posts, in the caption of another post, she asked, “Are we on the phone ? ??? WHERE IS SHE ??? It’s like Alice In Wonderland – only God knows as***** !!!” Comments to this Instagram post were left on, prompting a lot of concern from fans.

“This is not Britney,” one fan declared. “This ain’t Britney Spears! Comments are on for management to test the waters to see how far they can get away with this body double,” another follower commented. “WHERE IS SHE REALLY?!” a third fan exclaimed.

Earlier on Friday, she posted a picture of a chick doing a headstand. She didn’t write anything in the caption, but she did leave comments on. While a few fans did have a few nice things to say and told her how much they were looking forward to reading her memoir, “The Woman In Me,” when it’s released in October, other fans did not leave nice comments about her social media behavior.

“You have a realize that one of the reasons why people are always talking badly about you on Instagram is because you post photo shoots of yourself dancing with just your underwear and no pants. It makes you look mentally unstable. Please keep your clothes on otherwise no normal person will have respect for you,” one user wrote.

Although some fans agreed, other users defended the pop star. “Her body her choice. And if you look back at her tours most of them half naked clothes or very revealing clothes and dancing on stage,” they wrote. “She has been doing the same thing for over 20 years but now is a problem because she is not making money or entertaining people and just having fun.”

“Funny how you allow comments on this post. But not where you look positively psychotic!!” another user exclaimed. “From queen of pop to laughing stock. It’s definitely entertaining,” another follower wrote. However, fans were quick to come to her defense, with one user writing, “Being a bully says more about you than about her.”

There were a few fans that did try to defend her. “You’re a beautiful person and you are too smart for these people who don’t understand what you’re doing/ the meaning of your posts,” one fan commented. “Don’t let them get to you because they like the idea of you being ‘crazy’ and a mess a little too much. Love to you.”

Unfortunately, all of the comments all disappeared after Britney's Instagram post vanished along with her account. It remains to be seen if it will be days, or just hours until she returns to Instagram.
